My family and I stayed on the first floor (hotel portion). The room was a good size and very clean with a mini refrigerator. The staff was nothing but pleasant and always helpful. My kids loved the recreation room and pool area (I think they preferred that to the actual ocean). Everyday offers a different activity like a puzzle contest or coloring contest. On Wednesday night, we all played in a Bingo tournament which was so much fun. We walked away with some great prizes. The hotel has excellent beach access. There is a light and crosswalk right there that we took our wagon across. We highly recommend this hotel.

We were given a room slightly before check in which was nice. the staff was pleasant.... unfortunately we were on the bottom floor and all we could see or hear was traffic... Had a nice stay...but may look for something away from the main roads in the future.

We stay here every time we visit Carlsbad. Clean, spacious rooms, patios and accommodating staff. We stay on the 1st floor and love the gorgeous panoramic ocean view. Great location for beach access and Carlsbad Village restaurants and shopping. Love the Tamarack!

We stayed in a a two bedroom suite on the third floor (343) The unit was very spacious and had beautiful views of the ocean across the street. This property is very well maintained, the staff extremely friendly and the location was convenient to restaurants and shopping.
