“Great service and location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2011

We were upgraded to a deluxe family suite which had 1 bedroom with two queens, and another room with a king and a sitting area, which was a very pleasant surprise. The front desk staff were very pleasant, accomodating, and willing to please. The room was very clean and we loved the location. We walked to Legoland in 15-20 minutes, and across the street from the outlet mall which was great for meals and a little shopping. The grounds of the resort were beautiful, with trees and gazebos, and well-manicured. The complimentary breakfast was pretty good, with a decent selection. Overall, a nice place for the family, at an affordable price in such an expensive town.

We stayed here two nites as part of a wedding party. The rooms were very nice - new beds, flat screen tv and business desk area - free wifi. The outside looks kinda run down from the street, but our room had a balcony over the park area between buildings inside the property which was very nice. There were also some nice resturants on or near the property.

Kinda pricey for the area, but we enjoyed our stay - would recommend.

We loved this hotel. Located about 1/2 mile from LegoLand which was our destination. Free shuttle drop-off/pick-up to Legoland was nice, saves on parking fees.
Spacious, clean, comfortable, nicely decorated rooms. Requested balcony overlooking pool and got it. Nice! Wonderful pool/hot tub area. Gorgeous grounds. Nice location within walking distance of shopping & restaurants. Just off the interstate so easy to find, but not noisy. Slept very well.
We did NOT partake at all in the complimentary breakfast so no opinion on that.
There's a great restaurant down the street - BJ's Restaurant & Brewery which we loved -great food, great service - we ate there 2 nights in a row. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again. Very nice.

While the outside of the hotel looks very run down and outdated, the inside of the room is relatively modern and very spacious. The best part was the bed! It was ridiculously comfortable! It is located in a perfect location right next to the outlet malls. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

When I booked this, I did so because it was listed as a Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards partner, as well as it being slightly cheaper than a few of the surrounding hotels.

Upon check in, I inquired about the Rapid Rewards points and the person behind the desk looked at me like I had 6 heads. Not the end of the world, but certainly not helpful.

The room was basic. I slept alright and didn't wake up with any bites, which is about all I could ask for. It's outside access, so it feels a little motel-ish. The "locking gate" was never locked, nor do I feel it was capable of locking. I don't believe there's an elevator anywhere, so be mindful of that when checking in with large bags. You may want to leave them in the car until you know where your room is (it's a multi-building complex).

Overall the review probably sounds poor, but it really wasn't an overly negative experience. It just wasn't what I was expecting. If you set the expectation level going in, you shouldn't have any major issue with it.

There is a large shopping plaza across the street, and the seafood restaurant next door was absolutely awesome.

We stayed here while visiting Legoland. Great location, right around the corner, but not within walking distance. There is a TGIFridays on the property attached to the hotel which worked out great for dinner. THere is also a Starbucks across the intersection and several other restaurants there as well. Hotel offers free hot breakfast, which was a bonus. Kids loved the outdoor pool and hot tub. Rooms were very clean and staff was very helpful. Beds were also comfortable. Family suite was really nice and spacious. One bathroom in the room with two beds, but with younger kids, that worked out well. No kitchenette, but did have good size fridge and I believe there was a microwave.

Upon checking in, the front desk asked if we could accept a lesser arrangement. We feared this might be a bad sign of things to come, but quite the contrary. Service and amenities were above acceptable. When we asked for an extra bath towel and shampoo, it was brought to us within minutes. When we called for a ride back from Legoland, they were there to pick us up quickly. The complimentary breakfast left a bit to be desired, but what do you want for free? Close to good restaurants and shopping...and practically walking distance to Legoland. Not far from beach, too! Good place to stay if you're looking to save some money and go basic but nice. Most rooms overlook their well-groomed gazebo courtyards. Bed was a little firm for my touchy back, but everything was comfortable. Can't miss the place from the road because it has the windmill.
