We traveled here from Maine. We called several months ahead of time and said we were coming from Maine and could we get a room with a view. They said they would put down our request. When we got here, they gave us a perfect room. The view is amazing. We have the one bedroom, with a balcony. The room is small, but big enough for the three of us. The bed is very comfy and everything is CLEAN. The staff is amazing and it's close to everything. I really don't know what more anyone could ask for.

This hotel would be awful if it wasn't $120 for a condo type room with kitchen. The rooms are 1980's, the bathrooms are extremely tired with the bare basics. You can see numerous paint touch ups, patches etc. Seedy, but clean.

Good location --cross one quiet street to the beach.

We visited for a hockey tournament. If we spent significant time at this place I would rate this poorly. It was comfortable enough, but I would never return.

We stayed for a week here at the end of Jan.2013 and this place is close to the nicest place we have ever stayed. The staff was always there to help and answer questions. The rooms were very clean(I am very fussy) and nicely arranged. We were in the Oak condos in room 335, this was a very nice room because you can stand on the balcony and have a beautiful view of the ocean and the beach, or leave the door open and hear the crashing waves. I would recommend this room if you never get to see or hear the ocean like us!! The beds were amazing so soft, you have a tough time getting out, only to experience the nice weather here. The adult jacuzzi is another wonderful addition, the perfect place to end the day of walking and exploring the nice friendly town of Carlsbad. We will definitely be back when possible!!

Recently refurbished and nicely appointed units. Stove, oven, dishwasher which are not always available in other timeshare units. Wonderful access to the beach for sunrise and sunset walks. A block and a half from the Coaster train which will take you all the way to San Diego and other stops in between. In the middle of quaint Carlsbad Village--you can walk to everything.
Friendly and very helpful staff. We live in Southern California and look forward to staying at the Carlsbad Inn each year.
