“Enjoyed!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

We went for lunch and the outdoor patio was full so we sat inside. Service was a little slow, maybe because we were one of two tables inside with customers. My husband and I had fish tacos and they were good. Interesting, others at our table ordered hamburgers and hands down the best hamburger ever! They went on and on how good it was so I tasted it......amazing!

“Great sangria, food OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

We hadn't been to Margaritaville in about 25 years so we decided to return. It is always nice to be able to sit overlooking the inlet where the river and beach meet, and so we enjoyed a drink out on the patio where we watched literally thousands of gulls frolicking everywhere. Ordered lunch, which was OK: clam chowder, green salad topped with chicken (extra fee) and some fish tacos. It was all just OK. The chicken a little dry, the clam chowder was so-so. We just always compare coastal restaurants with those along the San Luis Obispo coast which are always superior it seems (Cambria, for example). Next time we're in Capitola, we'll probably just hit something that's a little less of a tourist trap and maybe hit Soquel which has some nice smaller eateries.

“wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

We were seated promptly on their beautiful patio. The fresh chips and salsa was really good. I ordered an organic cucumber margarita and my friend just got their house margarita. Both were very tasty (i def. preferred mine though).. We were there for happy hour so just shared some appetizers. The coconut prawns were to die for! I will defiantly be going back for dinner soon.

“Wasting Away Again!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

After finishing the annual Santa Cruz Wharf to Wharf run, (it starts in Santa Cruz and ends in Capitola), it didn't take long to head for some refreshment and self medication. I found the perfect combination at the Margaritaville in Capitola. It has a fun atmosphere and everything you would respect to a hopping seaside bar. As racers entered, they entire bar at the direction of the bartenders cheered, congratulating them on their success to complete the 6 mile run! We had quick service, considering the racers in attendance was 6000 entries plus onlookers! The bartenders were fast, efficient and had many suggestions to satisfy our acquired THIRST!

“"kitchen needs someone that can cook not just open a can"”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

Yesterday we had lunch(?) here. It was a beautiful day in the village with a great view off the patio. We were promptly seated, and our orders were taken. The Guacamole was very good, but that was the end of the good. Our meals came and most were inedible. The clam chowder was a thick paste that had no flavor, I left the whole bowl. Everything that was fried, french fries & fish, were soaked in grease. Chicken was very dry, the breakfast burrito wasn't to bad. This place use to be pretty good. Sorry to see this happen. Someone needs to rescue this place.
Felt sorry for the wait staff, because they were doing a good job. We don't mind paying good money for good food but $120.00 for 4 adults and 2 kids this was a waste.
