It was nice, there, with a 'ocean view',on the second floor. The pillows, and, beds were very good/comfortable. Reading, some other reviews, the trains weren't as bad, or as frequent,as you'd think, and, they stop, around 11 p.m. But, you can not get to cross directly, because of a' safety fence',just go to the foot bridge,a liitle south, and cross over 'Pacific Coast Hwy'(PCH).,to the beach. It was the 2nd week in Dec.so,you couldn't go into the cold, Ocean, anyway. I had a 'rental car', for a week, and put 700 miles,on it, r/t from, the 'Long Beach Airport',where,it was picked up+ dropped off.You probably, will drive a lot, since, everthing is about,60 miles, each way,North + South, from the resort. The rooms were nice and clean. A nice 'gas Bar-B-Que',on the patio. My complaints>> no room safes>>no 'room number',direction arrows,at the elevator exit,to tell you, if your room is left or right. The lobby ATM,was 'down'the entire week . WE DID NOT GET, OUR SCHEDULED,WEEKLY ROOM SERVICING,ON Thurs.or, any other day! No TV,in the 2nd bedroom, there is only one, in the 'master bedroom',and, the living room.If/when you do go, make' Sunday Brunch',early a.m. reservations,on 'The Queen Mary' .You'll love it! Also,we went to the, ' Palla Casino Hotel + Spa',in Palla, Calif.,( 1-877-946-7252) for the Tuesday, 'Lobster Feast',at 4 p.m.(get in line, by 3:15p.m.)>> it rates, as one of my, 'Top 5',Buffets'!! Go hungry! The charge is $39,but,if you join, the 'casino'and, get a 'players card',it's only $30. Dana Point, just 'around the bend',on PCH,is nice,by the boats, and, nice restaurants, too. Visit, 'The San Juan Capistrano Mission',and also, the town,'up the road', on PCH. You'll also, pass a 'Costco',and a 'Von's Supermarket',on your left, heading North,on PCH. Suggestion, to the Property Owner/ Management>> Please, put a 'Pacific Coast Mural',on that long,'obtrusive wall' on the 2nd floor, from rooms # 240 to 250 !

Room Tip: Get a room, as high as possible, facing the ocean. The room service, 'high rating',is for th...

We traded our Hawaii timeshare for this run down timeshare. The view of the ocean is wonderful and that is the main attraction. The timeshare is of poor construction. We could hear the trains, the cars, the trucks, and more. We got room 222 for the week and above us in 322 was a young kid. Who got up a 6:30 almost every morning. Running up and down the hallway, jumping off the beds, throwing balls against the wall. We call and asked them to stop. It only helped for a few hours each day. The kid did go to bed around 9. So there was some peace and quiet.
The window in the bedroom facing the ocean is filthy. I would suggest someone clean their windows soon.

We checked in with reservation we had for 4 months, got a room with a slime covered wall for a view, ask to be moved, even to a view of a hillside, no concern what so ever from 2 managers nor two other clerks. You know at least act like your looking in computer for available room, a small discount, or any empathy at all! This comes from the owner and leadership to the employees, all could care less, even when we checked out days early.

It was very concerning to read that your reception experience, along with the housekeeping shortcomings you experienced had a negative impact on your stay. What you described is certainly not an acceptable way for our guests to be treated and there is no excuse for a guestroom being dirty upon arrival. This will be addressed with our team members immediately and internally. We would like to assure you that delivering excellent quality of service and accommodation is the very foundation of our business and whenever possible our management and front desk team members will do everything within their power to assign your guestroom according to your request but, that we cannot guarantee these requests will be fulfilled at check in due to the occupancy rates. Please know that it is not typical that our guests would experience challenges with our front desk team members who are usually complimented for their high quality of attention to clients, and their willingness to be friendly and welcoming. We sincerely hope that you would be willing to give us another chance to make a better impression on you in the future.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to read that you were unaware of our cleaning schedule. Generally, vacation ownership properties do not offer daily housekeeping services. Our property offers a midweek cleaning and toiletry replenishment for stays of five days or more. We will of course ensure that the team advises our guests at the point of check-in should they not be aware of our environment friendly midweek cleaning policy. A no pet policy is strictly enforced here. Non-compliance will result in a daily fee per pet, and removal of any pets found immediately. We hope you notified the front desk regarding the smell, as we are more than willing to move our guests to more suitable rooms when an issue arises, subject to availability on property. While we are not responsible for loss of personal property of any kind we deeply regret that this incident occurred during your stay with us. We appreciate your feedback as it is a valuable tool in improving the guest experience and we wish you all the best in your future travels.

We traded into this timeshare for 1 week in a 2 bedroom unit. The front desk staff, housekeeping and maintenance were very nice and helpful. We were assigned a room on the second floor Ocean Side on the advice of the staff because of the possible view. The facility is located on the highway with views facing across the large highway. There is beach access down the street via an overhead bridge. Noise from highway may be a problem from the main bedroom. Great location for seeing various things - Dana Point, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano and on. See Casa Romantica, Mission San Juan Capistrano, Tea at the Los Rios tea house and on

The unit was nicely furnished with a large balcony facing the beach - great sunsets in the evening, beach is allowed to have a pit bonfire. Only problem seen with unit is that second bedroom does not have a TV. Lots of things available here if you do not bring - bikes - beach stuff. A second housekeeping is provided if you stay over 5 days. WIFI is available via AT&T for a cost.

Room Tip: Second floor seems to have a larger balcony

I am a Diamond Resorts member and used my timeshare points to stay here. I booked my trip before reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, and almost cancelled after reading them.

I received a verbal apology from one of the Diamond Resorts representatives on site for the condition of the "resort." This place is far from being what I would label a resort! The Diamond Resorts tend to be more up-to-date in their decor.

This resort's bedrooms have a 1980's retro feel, but they were clean. My friend and I stayed in a two-bedroom unit, which had a view of a concrete wall. If you want an oceanview room, book a one-bedroom unit since there are no two-bedroom units on that side.

We checked out the swimming pool and spas, but there was some film on the surface of the pool water, and the spas had white foam. Needless to say we opted to go to the ocean. The resort is across the street from the ocean but there is a fence and train tracks so you can't walk directly to the beach. You can walk, drive or rent a bicycle.

You can rent bicycles for $3, but there is no bicycle lane and the road did not feel very safe from the traffic.

Overall the staff were great, with the exception of a white male at the front desk when I first checked in. He looked at me when I first walked in, but did not even offer a greeting. The manager was very accommodating when I asked for a new room due to a foul fish smelling odor from the people who stayed in the room before.

I probably would not go back here until it has been renovated, which is supposed to happen at some point in time.

Room Tip: If you want an oceanview room, book a one-bedroom unit. The two-bedroom units face the backside of...
