“Nice!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

This hotel was clean, room was large (older furnishings), and bed was comfy. Nice view of the ocean from the balcony. Yes, there is the road and the train, so not exactly tranquil. The first time the train went by I thought it was an earthquake! :)

Room Tip: We were on the third floor, so had a nice view of the ocean. There are two rooms that face the ocea...

This was a very good location. Our room was clean and well appointed.
Although a busy road and train line were close by, we had little noise due to being situated a few rooms from the front of the motel.
A nice pool area is available.
Underground parking was adequate.
No Business Centre is available.
Oceanview does not mean direct access to the beach. Due to heavy road traffic, lots of train traffic and fences, most will have to drive the short distance to get to one of the beach areas (slight hourly charge there). Nonetheless, this motel is ideally situated - relatively close to many restaurants, shops, beach and other amenities.
Breakfast as ok - but sparse. Many Quality Inns have eggs and fruit cocktail - this had neither.

Room Tip: We had a suite with partial oceanview to the southwest - not a full on view that we hadexpected. Non...

Keeping in mind that this place was under $100 including tax, nobody should be complaining. It is priced wonderfully for an ocean view, right on ground floor, WITH a king bed. Interior furnishings are in par with the price. Room darkening curtains work perfectly. Bed was very comfortable, not hard. Hot tub is really big, and really clean. The hot tub is definitely worth a visit, as it is like two tubs put together. Go out there even if there is another couple in it. Continental breakfast is clean, and well managed. Fabulous beach access just 200 yards away. Big long beach is perfect for play/surfing/relaxing. A lot of walkers on the expansive beach parking testify to the safe nature of the area. Cool tiki / surf bar in next building to the north (~100 ft).

Room Tip: We booked the room following the link from Tripadvisor.

This hotel was clean and the folks running it were ver accommodating. We had a third floor, ocean front room, which was a small suite and very nice. Loved watching the sunsets from the balcony! There is also a little Mexican restaurant about a block away that was absolutely delicious. However, there is not much else around there but it was reasonably priced, clean, and a very nice place to stay with an ocean view. I was a little disappointed in the breakfast though as I have stayed at Quality Inns before and they have had a much better selection. This was sort of lame but it was OK.
All in all I woud stay here again!

Room Tip: Ask for the third floor, ocean front room! The balcony is great.

Not their fault it rained while we were there. This is a great value. We had a balcony room at the senior rate. It is a little strange and parking is very limited. Not sure what you would do in summer if the hotel were full. As it was, we got the last room. Getting from the room to the office was interesting to say the least as you accessed from the basement free parking garage.

The room was large with a balcony facing the ocean. It was quiet and there were other guests nearby. The breakfast is in a nice room adjacent to the small office. No computer for guests, however.

Our mapquest was not up to the task of finding this hotel in the dark so we ended up asking at a gas station. It is to the north of the freeway you use to enter town. I would stay there again in a fast minute. I would say it is a place where you might have a romantic interlude. Definitely a cut above the usual Quality Inn. Did not see a fitness center and, if there were a pool, it was not operating in January.

Room Tip: Be sure to get the ocean view balcony room.

We enjoyed our stay at this small property located just across the street from the beach. True, that you do have to walk about a block down and up a tall pedestrian bridge to get to the actual beach, but it does sit directly across from the beach, with ocean view views from almost every room. The rooms on the 2nd or 3rd floor would be the best views. We were on the first, with a patio opening by the hot tub, rather than a balcony, but was still nice. The room was extremely large! The furniture was well-used, but the place was clean and smelled nice. There was no tv in the bedroom, only in the living room, if that's something that is important to to you. This room (#109) was a King Bed Suite. The living room was quite large. This would have been enough space for 4 people if the two didn't mind sleeping on the pull out sofa. The breakfast was standard as most .... can't go wrong with the waffle maker. This hotel has an awesome hot tub! It says capacity of nine, but it's quite LARGE and was very HOT... very nice! Yes the train is quite loud during the day, but no problem sleeping at night.

Room Tip: 2nd or 3rd floors will have the best views.

Location ! Location ! Location ! Nothing else really needs to be said. Great little balconies to sit on and watch the waves roll in. Nice suites with seperate bedrooms. Flat screen TV's in Living room. Close to walkway over highway to get to the beach. Angostinos restaurant next door for great food. Only 2 negatives and they were small ones for us. It is right next to the commuter rail so it could be annoying to some( didn't bother us ) and LR furniture was a bit uncomfortable. If the weather had been better we probably would never have sat on the couch and chair but we hit the coldest 2 days in 12 years so we did stay inside more than expected. Overall we would stay here again anytime.
