I am an original owner(since1980's). I own the largest plan, 2BR 2BA End unit. A little known secret is that the 2BR 2BA end units on the San Clemente side are larger & more quiet than the units facing the mexican restaurant. Both bedrooms are HUGE, as is the spa tub in master BR. Large balcony off LR & MBR w/BBQ & table/4 chairs. Ceiling fans in BRs, 2 flat screen TVs. Free use of bikes & beach chairs/sand toys. You can catch the train to Anaheim for Disneyland, Angels baseball & Ducks hockey games or to San Diego for the Zoo, Chargers football or Padres baseball games from San Clemente or San Juan Capistrano train stations nearby. Whale & dolphin watching boats, jet skis, standup & regular paddle boards, kayaks, motor scooters, electric bikes & surreys are for rent in Dana Point & San Clemente. Go to San Clemente Pier Fisherman's Bar Monday thru Friday for the $3 dinners w/pano view & smell of ocean surf. Go to San Clemente 99 cent store to stock up on cheap groceries & Costco for more expensive items. Fish Bucket in Dana Point has some great specials, Tues. 2-4-1 prices w/live music on patio. The Strand at Dana Point(PCH north to Selva)is one of the most beautiful beaches & it's adjacent to Ritz Carlton. You can see backside of multi-million $$ homes from beachfront sidewalk. Not for elderly because too many stairs down to beach. Front desk at Surfside Inn ask for Agostina, she is the best and knows the area well.

Great service from Agustina and her staff!! A typical hotel does not have a full kitchen with all the hardware that's required to create a meal. You even get a grill in your patio, with the outdoor table in order to enjoy that sea breeze. Which is a great money saver when your on a tight budget that does not allow you to eat out every time. Will go back again in a heart beat.

We are owners here, and this is my favorite week out of every year. I love the location right across from the beach, but it's also an easy drive to Anaheim, Legoland, and San Diego. We have great service every time we are there, and I hate leaving to go home. They make simple upgrades to the property every year to keep it nice, and it is a well-managed property. We also own a timeshare elsewhere that we convert to points, so we stay at many places around the country, and this one never gets old because of the home-y feel.

I loved it this place! A lot bigger than what you would get in a hotel room. Pretty much like a one-bedroom apartment. Loved having the kitchen and even had some friends over for a BBQ! Nice size deck. Having the beach across the way was heavenly. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I had a chance to enjoy the pool which was nice too. I didn't really want to leave. A few pubs and restaurants within walking distance which was so nice. I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend to friends. Very reasonable too!
