“Tidy & Cozy Room, Hope to Come Back for a Real Experience!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

Didn't get a chance to spend more than a short night, but the room was well kept with amenities in good condition. Had a very late (delayed) arrival but the desk manager took care to delegate my check-in to a competent and equally hospitable neighboring hotel. It's a tight community and you can feel the spirit! Definitely hope to come back to Cambria to get the full beach / San Simeon experience and chances are good that I'll stay here.

Room Tip: Partial ocean view rooms are nice, especially if you like to be lulled to sleep by the sound of surf...

Very happy with all aspects of our stay, from the friendly invitation to happy hour, to the room with a patio and a direct walk to the beach, to the complimentary breakfast service brought to the room and to the friendly and professional staff. A thoroughly enjoyable two day stay.

My husband and I stayed here while visiting Hearst Castle, as a part of our honeymoon. There are a number of hotels along Moonstone Beach Dr, but Cambria Inn is the only one with true "ocean front" facing rooms. The balcony was a perfect spot to watch the sunset (see photo).

The front desk customer service was outstanding. When they found out I was military and we were there as a part of our honeymoon, Harry, the front desk receptionist upgraded our room, and added a complimentary bottle of wine-- it definitely reminds me of a time when customer service and loyalty mattered more than making a buck. Have to say, we were most impressed with the customer service.

The beds were comfortable, and everything was well put together. I was told they recently went through a remodel, but there were no signs of anything out of place. Clean lines and open, beachy feel.
The best part about Cambria Landing is its proximity to restaurants on Moonshine. We were able to walk to and from dinner, which allowed us to indulge in a little extra wine at dinner, which is a nice thing to be able to do on a honeymoon.

Overall, great place to stay.

Room Tip: Ocean front rooms (without a jacuzzi) actually have the best view. Also, they have 2 jacuzzi's f...

We stayed in Cambria Landing Inn for one night in room 200. It's a corner unit ocean view. The views were spectacular. The room was very spacious with refrigerator, microwave and flat screen tv. The continental breakfast is delivered to the room. We would definitely stay there again for a longer duration.

We had an amazing stay at this Pacifica Group hotel, right on Moonstone Beach road. The room was wonderfully updated and spacious! The view, outstanding! AND it was just next door from our favorite Moonstone Bar and Grill restaurant. The room had all of the amenities we required: free wi-fi, microwave and refrigerator! They also offer free breakfast room service, and the coffee was amazing. The staff was both courteous and very helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Choose 203, with a corner window view of the ocean and coastline. Wonderful!

My boyfriend and I stayed in one of the their "partial view jacuzzi suites" and we were beyond amazed! It was unbelievably beautiful when we stepped inside the sun-lite room. The view of the water was so stunning that my boyfriend and I stopped to sit by the window (in the nice chairs they had set up facing out) and saw a few whales blow out water from the their spouts! It didn't take us much longer to get the jacuzzi tub going and in which we relaxed in most of the night. The jets are touch censored, so it was fun to easily turn them on and off at our convenience. I loved looking at the fireplace and he loved watching TV, which were both set up right in front of the tub. What finally pulled us out of the tub was the hotel's fun wine and cheese hour! They set up delicious cheese and crackers in the lobby paired with delicious local wines. What a treat! We took our wine and cheese back to our lovely patio area where we sat and enjoyed the view once more. At one point I did go back to the lobby to ask the staff for dinner suggestions. They were so helpful and friendly! I cannot say that enough!! They showed us menus and a map of the area, and ended up directing us to the perfect dinning spot. And when it was time for bed, we felt like we were jumping into heaven! It was so comfortable and the hotel was so quiet that we were goners once we laid down. And then what did we wake up to the next morning? Our custom made breakfast being delivered by their once again friendly staff!

We love to get away and have stayed at many hotels in the hopes of having a relaxing and having a romantic time. But this BY FAR has been our favorite hotel and we are already looking forward to our trip back. If you get a chance, stay here... trust me!!

Cambria is a great place to get away and relax. The Cambria Landing was perfect. We had no problems and the wine and cheese each evening was an added plus. Very clean room, very helpful staff, the hot tubs in the back of the hotel were a nice touch. We enjoyed our visit and the lovely walk is across the road is the perfect place to watch a CA sunset.

Room Tip: Take a room in the separate buildings, 300 to 305, it is worth it.
