Typical old school motor lodge motel set-up. We were in town for part of our vacation to CA. Camarillo is a great area and has everything for persons wishing to shop, site see or just hang out. Close to the ocean with easy access to LA as well. As for the Days Inn, it is not the Hilton. The Days Inn is not priced as the Hilton, and you should expect to not get the Hilton for $50-60 dollars a night.

What you will get (or rather what I got) was room #241. The room was a king sized single on the 2nd floor in the south building of the property. The room was clean and all utilities with the exception of the bathroom fan worked fine. Again, not the Hilton! But my room was clean with nice towels, a mini fridge and a microwave. Towels were good, free hand soaps, shampoos and mini coffee maker. The bed was very comfortable with ample pillows. Sleep quality was good and we were towards the 101 Hwy but could not hear any traffic.

WIFI connection was good with no issues. The continental breakfast was very good (i'm a sucker for "make your own waffles") and included waffles, apple and orange juice, coffee (regular and decaf), toast with toppings, English muffins, 2 kinds of cereal/milk, small muffins and pastries, apples and oranges. Well worth the price (free...). Front desk and house keeping staff were friendly and accommodating.

**To the upper management/owners.** You have a prime location for your property. Put some money back into the property in the way of updates to the decor, renovation and updates to the amenities (i.e. newer/more ice machines, exterior lighting, etc..). Even if you only re-did the rooms you could easily charge more per room/per night. Also, spruce up the lot to the west of the property. I realize this is just for truck/trailer parking, but it does effect the aesthetics of that end of the lot. Your property has a lot of potential and could easily be a 2+ star property with a small investment.

My mother stayed here on business for two nights, and that was two too many. The quality of the hotel was that of a pay by the hour motel, by far not the quality of any days inn we have ever stayed at. The room was old and unclean, again like a cheap motel! The staff was horrible! For starters, they were rude from the moment my mother arrived, and stepped in to pay. The room was surely to the managers cleanliness standards, as he obviously has low standards for his staff and their duties. And for heavens sake, I can still not believe this one, while I was in picking up my mother, upon exiting her hotel room, which is "handicap accessible" as booked, there we saw two employees leaning on my SUV! With two packs of sheets on my hood! As another employee was tossing down bedding from the second floor! And when going to the General Manager about this all I get back is, well ur car wasn't damaged so we're not sorry?!?!?! Shame on him, shame on them. I guarentee that my mother, and her company and clients, their friends and family, and everyone that we know between the thousands of us will get the word out and never stay at another days inn! Shame on you!

The whole situation was a genuine mistake and we apologised to the daughter of the guest who was not a registered guest and was not staying at our property. We even apologised to the husband who stopped by to know what happened. It was a very unconscious incident that took place by the housekeeping and they were carrying some new comforters from the store room which were bagged in plastic bags and one fell from the top on the edge of the guest dauther unregistered car.We apologised profusely and even offered her husband a carwash if they were conscious about some fingerprints on the car.The daughter even said besides this she had no complains with housekeeping and the room and everything else was very clean.I sincerely apologise for any inconvienience caused but it was a genuine mistake .
