“Great place for retreats and business events”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

Great place and location for events. Spent a week for yoga retreat in November and was pleasantly surprised. The location is amazing, so close to nature with some great trails around the property. The rooms were clean with good bed lining and free access to wifi. The food was of a very high quality and much was grown on the land.

This was our second time at Mayacams for a yoga retreat. They've made some wonderful upgrades since and we loved our room. Tiny bathroom but good mattress and pillows. We had a little bungalow and it was quiet and relaxing.

They have beautiful art on the premises and a garden that they feed you from.

The grounds are beautiful. So much nature, a lovely pool and great yoga room(s). The food was delicious every day. Breakfast also very good but exactly the same every day. It would be nice to have some honey or anything in addition to strawberry jam :-).

Can't wait to go back next year. Fun to sit at the fire and just a heavenly place.

I stayed at Mayacamas Ranch for a week for Jean Haner's Clear Home, Clear Heart Retreat. What a beautiful setting--so quiet and serene! Our cabins were very clean and restful, the salt water pool was rejuvenating, and the food was outstanding!

I would definitely come here again!

I've stayed at Mayacamas Ranch several times so far and, without exception, every time it has been wonderful. Nice, comfy cabins, excellent food, and above all, a beautiful place tended by folks who know about wholesome living. Flowers everywhere m& great hiking. We were allowed to build a campfire on a lodge overlooking a small valley. One of best places to stay in the area.

Nicely appointed cabins with a sense of luxury yet still rustic. Beautiful views. Everything was very clean and well kept. Great place for a family retreat. Food was amazing, plentiful and very healthy.

Room Tip: Some cabins are single and others are combined. We preferred the single cabins.

Mayacamas Ranch is a very special place. My family (wife + three kids under six years of age) visited for a week in July and had an incredible time. This is not the spot to go if you want to brag to your friends about the thread-count on your bed linens - there are plenty of other places in wine country where you can get that "fix" if you need it. What Mayacamas is all about is a place that feels like family from the moment you drive on to the property - it's upscale without being pretentious or silly. It's rustic without lacking any creature comforts - for example, there are no TVs in the rooms (who needs a TV in that incredible setting!) but they've got excellent WiFi on the property which I liked - one way that I feel *more* relaxed on vacation is if I can stay in touch somewhat. So - where to start? The food is awesome. Miguel and his staff are totally dialed in - from pan-seared halibut to barbecued chicken to incredible arugula salads, they serve three square meals a day in the main lodge. No clean up required, no expensive room service bill to deal with - just great food in a "family style" atmosphere. Oh - and s'mores over a campfire after dinner - hello! Next - awesome hiking right outside your door. Lizards and crickets galore for the kids to chase. Canoes and a pond just over the ridge. An awesome pool to relax in or around. A main lawn on which to kick a soccer ball, or watch the sun set w/a glass of pinot. With three kids, it's almost impossible to relax, but there were so many other great families around with kids that the kids played, we relaxed, recharged, and just loved every minute of our vacation. Mayacamas Ranch has my highest recommendation.

For those looking for an incredible setting in the natural wonder of Napa Valley, this is the place for you. The physical location is in the crater of a volcano so there is a beautiful one mile hike around the 90+ acre resort which passes through lands used by native American Indians for spiritual rituals. The Mayacamas Ranch rooms are without TV's and intentionally sparse to focus on inner connections but the organic beds and linens, fresh and pure organic meals and spectacular pool setting make this a place to leave renewed, grounded and blissful.

This is a great spot for a company retreat, family reunion or yoga/spiritual event.

Room Tip: They arrange for massage therapists to come on property for you so set that up in advance. There is...
