My husband and I stayed at the ranch during our vacation. We arrived on a rainy day and found ourselves the only guests on the property. Frankly, the staff seemed annoyed that they had to deal with us. They were perfunctory at best. We stayed in Live Oak 5 which incidentally was their most expensive option. Not worth the extra fifty bucks. The room was dingy. The bed was lumpy and the linens could have come from Motel 6. The bathroom reminded me of my college dorm room. Put it this way, there is beef jerky in the honor bar. Enough said.
All those things aside, the property is beautiful. The main lodge where you eat breakfast is nice with high ceilings. We made a fire and treated it like our living room since we were the only ones there. The pool and jacuzzi are lovely and you can take hikes on the property. The flowers and landscaping were fantastic and it makes the whole property fragrant. Breakfast was good even though the staff made no attempt at conversation or even pleasantries.
It would be a great place for a business conference but I don't recommend for an indulgent vacation.
