“This is the place to enjoy Napa and get away from it all”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2011

My husband and I stayed here for a week in August. We are still glowing from our experience. The service is incredible, the rooms are luxurious and stylish, the spa is fantastic, the pool and fitness area are downright dreamy. Everything everywhere is immaculate. There is amazing attention to detail here. We are fussy travelers and this place met our expectations (this place is far from cheap, so we were hoping it would deliver, and it did).
And you can't beat getting to borrow their fleet of Mercedes every day! We ditched our SFO rental car and rode in style from Calistoga to Yountville. We both came away thinking that when we return to Napa, we will stay here. You cannot go wrong.

Room Tip: Forest Bay Lodges are not on the 'road' up the hill to the restaurant, so they are quiet.

I can't say enough about how amazing The Bathhouse spa is. From the cordial welcome to the beautiful facilities to the amazing therapists each step of our journey was fantastic.

Be sure to check in early and enjoy the hot pools. Everything was perfect without being overly fussy and all the details were in place. Bathrobes were warmed before being returned at the end of the treatment and there was no push on products after an outstanding facial.

There's no better spa experience in the Valley!

I stayed four days during Christmas holiday. The hotel has a warm atmosphere that makes me relax. I enjoyed taking shower outdoor at night while watching the stars. The spa was superb. Loved the free mercedez loan. The whole experience was really worth what I've paid for.

Absolutely beautiful. Could not imagine a better stay. The accommodations, grounds, staff and spa facilities were all five star.

This is my favorite property while visiting Napa - Wine country. I've stayed at Auberge du Soleil, Solage and Carneros Inn, and I prefer the Ranch. The property is ultra luxurious. Once inside your unit (we had a two-bedroom with kitchen) you feel as if you're leaving in a large tree house. The young staff is extremely attentive and knowledgeable. This is a very romantic spot. Yes, it's expensive but worth it. The spa is decadent.

The public spaces (restaurant, lobby, pool, and especially the spa) are absolutely lovely. The service is wonderful - unobtrusive and yet both friendly and first rate. They go out of their way to make you happy. Everything is perfect except for one thing, and it is a doozy. Calistoga Ranch makes this big deal about how every suite is a complex of two buildings, with a deck and a fireplace and a hot tub for your romantic enjoyment. What they don't mention is that both the hot tub AND the bedroom hover over the road. Not near the road - on the road. Why spend $1200 a night for a suite with a hot tub where you have to wear your bathing suit to swim AND have to keep your voice down (way down) in your room? It was like cuddling in the back seat of a car parked on the main street of town. If you get what I mean...

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I am thrilled that we exceeded your expectations, our staff is committed to service excellence; we strive to provide the most exclusive accommodations that convey the highest level of comfort and privacy. Due to recent unforeseen weather conditions we had some foliage on our lattices damaged and this effected your room in particular, our landscaper is remedying this and the lush foliage embracing all of our the lodges will once again be in place to ensure that each accommodation and guest receives the highest level of privacy. We will look forward to your return and having you experience of our magical surroundings.

Calistoga Ranch is a truly unique destination. The lodges are nestled in beautiful natural surroundings. We took an early morning hike on our second day and I swear, I have never breathed cleaner air! Accommodations are rustic and well maintained. We had a hot tub on our deck which we made great use out of and I loved the outdoor showere. The staff really could not do enough for us. They were attentive, but not overbearing - which is the perfect balance. The pool is beautiful and the spa is to die for. However, I was a little disappointed by the food. It was good by not excellent, and the service was a little slow. Having said that, I will definitely return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the resort for a weekend getaway.
