Owner description: Like its more famous Yellowstone counterpart, this Napa Valley geyser erupts at regular intervals - every forty minutes, in the case of the Calistoga gusher.

“A site worth skipping”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

What is true about this geyser is that it shoots hot water in the air, but it is rather dull. The spray is short-lived and less than six feet high, the background is rather plain, and it lacks drama. The display of farm animals, including the Jacob's sheep is of mild interest, but there are better ways to spend you time in Napa.

“Nice experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

I haven't seen a geyser before and I really enjoyed the experience. Maybe 14$ is not cheap but in a time where many State Parks are closed because of lack of funds I am happy to pay rather than to see the place closing down. It is a simple place, no frills, the geyser and some animals, but the spectacle of the geyser is extraordinary to me. The one in Yellowstone is maybe bigger and better but Yellowstone is closed now thanks to the shutdown, so I was happy I could see this one!

“Pathetic”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

Over priced, very run down and uncared for site, this must be an embarrassment to Americans. The geyser erupts very frequently and could be made so much more of. Take a look at what they do in Iceland.

“save your time and money”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

It must be embarrassing to read these reviews as the proprietor of this exhibit. I agree with others that it is overpriced, overstated, and a let-down.I am shocked that it actually makes it into travel books. Here's a suggestion- couple it with a local winery's wine pairing. And PS...your fainting goats don't faint.

“Okay if you haven't seen a geyser before.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

This is a paid attraction, and considered one of the three "old faithful" geysers in the world. I have not been to Yellowstone, but other people in my party had and said that this did not compare. Geyser goes off every 25 minutes or so, and you can watch goats and other animals while you wait. Looked like they were putting in a garden which might be a nice addition. Stop here if you're driving through, but don't go out of your way for this sight.
