“Wonderful mineral pools.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

This property is conveniently located and has a nice spa and fantastic pools. The screaming jumping splashing kids were not a plus, the guards never corrected them, and it detracted from the "spa" experience.
The setup is motel-like, the rooms have kitchenettes, a plus. However the noise level reflects old poor construction, the rooms are upgraded, but don't hide their motel like feel.
The staff were friendly and accomodating.

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at the Calistoga Spa. Sometimes, the energetic voices in the pool dominated. Otherwise, we lounged, soaked, and swim! We also received relaxing massages! We recommend this hotel, and we have returned to it numerous Times.

Room Tip: Find out where the families are if you want things especially tranquil!

Green Features: Good recycling program. More emphasis on drought is needed! People friendly!,,

We have visited Calistoga Hot Springs on a number of occasions for many years. We have brought our girls here when they were little, we have given our dying father a last chance to relax with the whole family around him, and we have spent wonderful days as a couple trying to remember what unhurried time together is all about.
The remodel has added greatly to the overall look of the place, and we love that we don't have to spend an arm and a leg to enjoy the hot springs experience.
It may not be as fancy as other places in Calistoga and maybe it is not filled with "beautiful people" but we love see people of all ages and backgrounds just letting their bodies soak and relax. We have had very good conversations with people from all over the globe. We have enjoyed hour long massages from very caring and skilled therapists who listen to you and know just how to release that knot behind your shoulder blades.
We have stayed at other places in Calistoga but this one is still our favorite.
Our daughters love this place and I know they will continue to come long after we are gone.

We have been coming to Calistoga Spa for over 30 years with our family and we think that there is no better place for relaxing. They remodeling last year so rooms are a bit more than the olden days but they still have the great BBQ areas and little kitchenettes so you don't have to to out for every meal. They have several pools which makes it nice for everyone. I could go on and on....I wouldn't go for a romantic spot but for a family vacation, it's the best!

Room Tip: Adult rooms are in the rooms in the back away from the pools

My sister and I went up for a night -- and liked it so much we stayed a second night. A pleasant, relaxing resort with four amazing mineral spring pools. Also had a very nice massage. Staff was nice, the place was clean, and the rooms were big with a small kitchen. Great walk-in shower. You can walk into town for dinner, which is a nice convenience.

We've been coming to the Calistoga Spa for more than 20 years. It's probably our favorite place in all of California, and it just keeps getting better, particularly after the recent renovation. The pools are serene and range in temperature from tepid to really hot. The clientele is sophisticated and not prone to wild parties. The rooms are comfortable and tasteful, and have efficient kitchenettes. The groundskeepers and maids are friendly and helpful. I could go on and on. One of the best features is the hotel's location. You can walk one block to the main street of town where you'll find everything you might want: a great bookstore, a gourmet food market, liquor store, restaurants and more. The town itself is quiet and understated, and hasn't suffered from overdevelopment like some places down the road. Whenever I need to relax completely—and inexpensively—this is my choice.

Room Tip: Get a room on the side overlooking downtown; there may be more noise on the other side.

Green Features: The showers are set to little more than a trickle, but I appreciated that in drought conditions.

Always have a great topi me here. There are three pools and a baby pool, so I can swim laps, then float in the warm pool and maybe do some stretches before heading ti the hot pool with jets for a massage. Then I'll get a massage at the spa. Back at my redecorated room, I'll puill a bottle of wine out of the fridge that actually keeps ice cream cold and relax with a glass and some goodies outside my door on one of the benches (though you could make dinner on the barques and sit at one of the tables) and look at the mountains. Then after dinner on the little town at one of the excellent restaurants. I'll head back to the warm and hot pools to get even more relaxed before bed. It's a hard life.

Room Tip: Get a second floor room. Better views
