Went there today (18th November) after a walk in the country surrounding Souldrop. Had booked a table and would advise booking as it is a busy place. Do you ever visit an area without knowing anywhere to eat but have this vision of a comfortable pub with a very welcoming log fire and olde world ambience, along with staff who actually want to make your stay pleasant. This along with a wholesome Sunday roast. Well dream no more the Bedford Arms delivers all in spades.Lamdlady suggested not having a starter as the roast dinner was large and boy she was absolutely correct. Roast beef, yorkshire, roast potatoes, mashed sweet potato, roast parsnips, red cabbage and cabbage. All this served with gravy and an additional pot of gravy. Black Sheep beer, accompanied the meal very well and was very well kept. If you want haute cuisine with fiddly, small portions served on huge plates, with the food piled up in the middle, showing more artistry than good food then this is probably not the place. If however you want a good meal, well cooked, the Bedford Arms is for you.
