Actually there is a bit more. Last year saw a huge renovation of the lobby area, which now incorporates both restaurant and bar. The business area is also up front. Rooms are very comfortable but those facing the bay do get airplane noise, probably owing to the lack of triple glazed windows. Ask for a quiet room if you, like us, are light sleepers. Since airline personnel seem quite happy here, the quality is pretty high. In particular, the new restaurant (not the tired Chutney Kitchen) has been revamped and has a new chef. Very good food! Our server Jesus has been around for several years and is competent and friendly. The shuttle to and from the airport is reliable and frequent. Oh yes, there are always those chocolate chip cookies. If you negotiate a park and fly, your rate could be lower. There does seem to be many conventions held here, so make your booking as soon as possible.

Had a day and a half in San Francisco to see the sights and get on a plane home. We stayed by the airport so we'd have our bags watched and transportation.

Hotel staff were friendly and efficient. We got our room location preferences as specified in our HHonors profile, and free water too! Transportation to the airport was easy to navigate and we had a blast in the city while they kept our bags at the front desk for the day.

Breakfast at the hotel was delicious. There were plentiful options at the buffet, and each were tasty.

Rooms were comfortable, clean, quiet, and had good sheets.

We'd defintely stay here again when our travels bring us back to the Bay Area.

Recent 4-day stay while in the Bay area for business. Red Wood City based business but was in several areas of the Bay (Mil Valley, Marin, Emeryville and San Jose) during the stay and the hotel was convienent to those areas.

Just south of SFO and located right on the bay. Good walking trails next to the water. Not the prettiest area with the airport and Hwy 101 near - but good location without fearing for your life.

The hotel is nice with recent updates. Doubletree is consistent and that is good when you travel for business alot. The room was spacious for CA standards and generally in good condition. Older AC set-up but worked fine. Bathroom was large and good shower. Had breakfast delivered to room a couple of mornings and the American breakfast was very good.

Parking and internet is extra. Did not have any meals other than breakfast.

The newly-remodeled lobby looks great. The decor looks a bit dated, but the room is quite comfortable. The breakfast buffet was OK, nothing spectacular - but we were given free breakfast coupons so I can't really complain. However, I didn't like that we had to pay $20/night for parking.

The shuttle to and from the airport is very efficient, and you could just catch the BART (from the international terminal) to downtown for about $17 round trip. Saves you from dealing with downtown traffic and expensive parking garages.
