“Great hotel, no complaints what so ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2012

We used the hotel for the first night of our vacation after a late night flight from uk. We were promptly picked up from the airport by the complimentary shuttle and quickly and efficiently checked into our room. The room was great large and spotless. We had great room service and a good nights sleep. We had the conteinental breakfast which offered a great choice and was very reasonable. We used the shuttle again to return to the Airport which was again very efficient. The rate for the hotel was very reasonable we would highly recommend the hotel.

Nothing fancy or pretentious here, just a solid, quiet, comfortable, clean room. Property appears to be newly refurbished with new paint and carpeting. The room was large enough to be comfortalbe, with good working space and fast WiFi. Bathroom appeared to be remodeled, spotlessly clean and well lit.

Friendly, competent staff who gave us a pleasant greeting and were happy to help. There is a restaurant at the hotel, but we did not eat there. Small but well equipped business center. Very close to SFO.

Highly recommended, especially for SFO flight connections.

Room Tip: Just over the freeway, try Rocca Ristorante. Very good meal.

I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn at the San Francisco Airport after spending a couple of days in Palo Alto, with an early flight to L.A. the next day. I love the HG Inns -- always the same -- good beds, nice easy chair to sit in, usually something of a view (in this case of an extension of the bay), free Internet in the rooms. Only trouble was that at the airport, after returning rental car, I had no idea which HG Inn I was going to (there are three), and so I watched shuttle after shuttle go by. It's Burlingame! Make sure you check. There's a great jogging path just out the door, around the waterfront. Ten minutes from the airport. Restaurant is just ok. I ate Lean Cuisine lasagne from the convenience store.

Room Tip: The rooms all seem fine -- I think they all face the water. I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because the...

in the past two years we have looked for this brand for numerous reasons: value security record, nice resturarant that fills our simple needs. The adjustable beds with very very comfortable nights sleep. We could pay 30 to 50$ less but would not be guaranteed this kind of service and comfort. ON this occasion we simply wanted one night of relaxing prior to going to SFO for a early sunday am flight back to texas, after a week on the Mendocino coast. Oh I guess that was paretty relaxing too. and even at 7am Term 2 was somewhat busy. (first class got us through security pretty fast) We are not rich at all, but find our choice to use the HGI is well worth the price, on this stay $106.00 total inc tax. Every one was very eager to do for us what ever we needed. HGIs are not everywhere but we will continue to use them when we plan future trips.

Room Tip: directions printed on their web site are a bit off, but phone them and U will find them without prob...

We had 2 rooms for 2 nights. The location was good for us and the indoor pool was fun for everyone. The walking path next to the hotel is a plus. Everything was spotless.

After two nights at the HGI San Leandro, I changed hotels to this HGI. Much better! The staff was very friendly, the location is great - easy access to S.F. and Mountain View where I needed to be. The room was clean and the breakfast fast was good. No complaints. I'd come back again.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2012

I stay at this hotel every time I visit San Francisco. I stayed again in mid-February for four nights while attending a conference near the airport. I've checked a few rooms here, including 525 (where I stayed in mid-Feb 2012) for bed bugs and it's always coming up clean!

The main noise problem at this hotel is *not* planes, it's the new shuttle buses that were rolled out in early 2012. They make an extremely loud backup noise that's enough to wake up a heavy sleeper twice per hour! Prefer rooms at the back of the hotel!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms near the front. The shuttle backing up twice per hour is very loud noise.
