My business partner and I have been going here once each week for dinner for about the last five months. It's one of the few things we completely agree on. The decor is clean, modern, and understated. Service can be hit or miss, depending on your server, but most of them are good (Ken is our favorite). But what makes this place special isn't decor or service--it's the food. Every time we go, the food is outstanding. They have traditional Thai dishes on the menu, but it's the variations on Thai themes that are really special--their Bangkok beef, fried tofu and taro, grilled marinated calamari. Even the more mundane-sounding dishes like the string beans, egg rolls, and satay skewers are a cut above.
Frankly, we haven't figured out why this place isn't more crowded (we only go mid-week for dinner; it may be busier on the weekend or at lunch) . It's had great reviews, it's in a hip location. If you can make it in time for happy hour (ends at 7), you can make a whole meal out of their appetizer plates for a bargain, and not feel like you've missed anything.
