“Better than I was expecting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

We were very tired from traveling and had walked here from our hotel. Despite the name and the semi-corporate feeling of the restaurant, we had a very enjoyable mid-day snack. Because of the off timing, we hit their happy hour, which was great! We had pot stickers, edamame, and lettuce wraps, which were all quite good. We ate at the bar and had a very enjoyable experience. Service was great, fast and efficient.

“Tasty, well located and open till 2am”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

If you love sushi, then this is the place to be.
I was introduced to Wokcano's a week ago for dinner, and have been back again already, this time for lunch.
Situated in the middle of the Burbank media district, with lots of street parking, this place is hard to fault!
The staff seated the 4 of us quickly, had menus in our hands, and had asked us what we liked, before they went on to discuss their specials and recommendations. Nice.
I ordered the rainbow sushi, a popular favorite, and was not disappointed. 8 pieces of the tastiest sushi I have ever had, with delicious wasabi, and all delivered in minutes. Try the spicy tuna roll, while you are there.... Awesome!
The staff offered up a gluten free option for one of our group, which apparently was superb!
Overall, easy to find with lots of street parking, great service, fantastic food, nice decor, open late, and best of all great value for such a fine looking restaurant.

“Good sushi”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Good sushi. I had some really good Sushi and a garlic duck entree. Duck was cooked perfectly -- medium rare. Located on 7th street, lots of other restaurants and bars to try as we'll.

“mediocre food, poor service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

Although the hostess was very nice our server was impossibly slow. It took us 13 minutes after ordering two beers to receive them. Yes, we timed it; we were thirsty. The food came out about 45 minutes later. Our server was nice but just way too slow. We arrived at 10:30pm on a Thursday. It really was not busy. The food quality was below average. Our savory entrees were both quite sweet. The location is good and the decor is nice.

“Excellent Asian Tapas and Chinese Open Late Night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

We were in Burbank at midnight and were starving. All the interesting places' kitchens on the block were closed, except for Wokcano. The cheerful hostess gave us two menus, one for Wokcano and one for Backroom, which is connected. Then we had the almost impossible task of choosing from those two extensive menus. We decided on hot and sour soup, duck wraps in rice wrappers, spicy chicken with green beans and a pork belly yakitori skewer, and hot sake, of course! Everything was flavored perfectly and served beautifully. Service was efficient. We will definitely return!
