I came with my wife and kids. The burgers were great and the kids loved the Big Boy statue outside. Service was fast and efficient. Everybody was very friendly.

“Friday Cruise Night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

I've "cruised" Bob's Big Boy in Toluca Lake since I was is high school. Nowadays, I drop by with my T-Bucket and grab a "Bob's Combo" just for old times sake. If you never been there, you should give it a try. The menu is much more varied and, while the burgers are still good, there is something different about them. Personally, I think it's the relish. The Combo comes with fries (ask for Bob's Blue Cheese or Thousand Island dressing) and a Coke. Still good stuff.

“The best nostalgia!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

I'm sentimental, so I love going to Bob's Big Boy. My first date as a teen was at Bob's Big Boy!! Not only is the building original, with lots of historic pictures on the wall, but they also prepare the food the way they used to and the service is very good. They have extended hours and the menu is pretty extensive. Of course the big boy burgers are great, but the turkey club sandwich is also very good as is the spaghetti and chili. I also really enjoy the chicken fried steak; served with mashed potatoes and mixed veges. Their salad dressing are great, esp. the blue cheese. As a teen I learned to dip my french fries in blue cheese at Bob's Big Boy. They serve breakfast all day and do it well. Their claim to fame is that the Beatles ate there and they even will tell you which booth they sat in. If you like old car shows, be sure to go on a Friday night; makes it even more nostalgic, but expect a long wait for a table. Just plan to look at the cars while you wait. They even have car hop service on Sat. and Sun. nights!

“must see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

This place is a true must-see, it's like walking into the 1950's or early 60's, complete with staff dressed in Big Boy bowling shirts! The interior looks original, well-maintained; staff are friendly and fast with your meal, always someone around to ask if you want your drink topped up, or you need anything else.

“Classic place, classic burger...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2012

Great burger in a great old-fashioned diner served by friendly staff. Well worth getting off the beaten path for.

The classic car show was a nice little bonus but did mean parking was harder to find.
