“a fun time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

Our Tonite Show visit was a lot of fun. I'd recommend it to anyone in the area. Just remember to bring a jacket or sweater; they keep the studio very cold.

“We love Jay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

I surprised my son with a trip to see Jay Leno. It was a fun experience for both of us. They have about 400 seats, we arrived at 1:45 and were in the studio before 4. The taping is over at 5:15.

“Go if you get the chance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

Living on the east coast, I don't get many chances to attend the taping of a television program, let alone one as popular as the Tonight Show. This year I happened to be in Los Angeles the week before Christmasand got to see the Tonight Show. Jay Leno's guests were Jamie Foxx, Carl Reiner, and Cassadee Pope, the winner of The Voice. Of course, what was shown on TV later was entertaining, but it was great fun to see what goes on during commercial breaks. Jay Leno tapes straight through - no retakes, so the breaks are timed the same as the commercials. We heard Ricky Minor's excellent band. Jamie Foxx led the audience in singing and dancing in their seats.

An interesting sidelight - my stepdaughters were pulled out of line as we entered the theater. They were seated in the front row, on the aisle, on the floor in front of the fixed seating. They were in the group that got high-fives from Jay at the beginning of the show. It appears that you have to be especially photogenic to get picked for that. It's nice to know that other people find these young woman attractive.

Some tips for getting in - having a ticket does not guarantee admission. Reservations for groups of four or fewer are usually available online. The show requires that the person making the reservation to confirm the day before. Doors open at 2:30, but it is best to get to the studio at least an hour and a half ahead. Guests must present the printed reservation confirmation and a photo ID. They are given numbered cards in the order in which they arrive. The capacity of the theater is about 400. Small groups are allowed in about 25 people at a time. During this process, larger groups are admitted from a separate waiting area. Seating continues in this manner until the theater is filled. On the day we attended about two hundred of the approximately three hundred people waiting in the small-group area actually got inside the theater. A bit of careful planning can increase your chances of getting inside the theater for the taping.

“Brings Production to Perfection. Go Jay!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012 via mobile

Ordered tickets on the web one day before, and had one of our best days in L.A.
You do have to arrive a couple of hours before and wait in line (sitting ), but the show is live-tape, i.e no time waste, no re-plays etc. one great hour, and you're all set.
Jay lovers, and not only them, will love it!

“A fun evening.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

If you don't mind standing in line several hours before getting in, its worth the wait. Jay Leno comes out before the show to talk and is always worth waiting for.
