We spent a week at the Coast Anabelle during a recent family vacation and were pleased with our selection. We chose it without knowing much about it other than that the price was reasonable. It turned out that it was near several of our planned outings (The WB studio tour, The Tonight Show) and with a rental car we were able to easily get anywhere from this location.
The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. We arrived early for check in and the gal at the front desk told us she could give us an un-renovated room right away, but she recommended that we wait for the staff to clean a renovated room. We used the time to explore downtown Burbank, which has some fun shops and restaurants and a beautiful town hall (see it at night when it is lit up). Glad we waited for the room which was spacious for the four of us and well appointed. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and clean, with crisp white linens and plenty of pillows. Much of the renovation must have been in the bathroom, which had a huge walk-in shower with two shower heads. I always hate hotel towels, but these were thick and a good size.
The hotel shares and outdoor pool with its sister-facility next door, but my kids didn't mind that and swam several times, declaring the pool "great."
The only draw-back we encountered was that we were on the street side of the hotel and were awakened a couple of times by the sounds of sirens on emergency vehicles. Other than that, traffic sounds were easy to ignore.
I definitely recommend this hotel -- it was a good value and a pleasant place to stay.
