“A great trip for the whole family.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

We wanted to do a studio tour whilst on holiday in Los Angeles, and chose the Warner Bros Studio VIP tour over other tours due to the positive reviews on this site. We were not disappointed. The tour costs $49 per person (plus $7 for parking) lasts approx 2 hours and you are driven around in a group with a tour guide. We got to see various sound stages and sets for popular tv shows such as Two and a Half Men, Big Bang Theory, Gilmore Girls, Friends etc and you also see the locations of various movies, old and new. If you get a good tour guide you will hear lots of interesting facts about how movies and tv shows are made.

If you are a tv & movie fan, this tour is great fun. You may be lucky enough to see the odd celebrity on set! If you are not a lover of American sit-coms you may be a little bored, as these sets take up quite a large portion of the tour. My favourite parts of the tour was getting to see the set of Two and a Half Men and the original Central Perk set from Friends.

Our VIP (2.5 hour) tour was OK. Went at 245 on a Thursday. The guide was pretty new, had trouble with her mike, parking the tram, and seemed nervous and not too informative. We walked around a bit and saw the Ellen set, old Friends set, Two and a Half Men set, a bunch of vehicles used in movies--Batmobile, etc. Seemed pretty standard. Tour guide said they were not allowed to point out stars if they saw them and we didn't. We didn't see any.

“AMAZING tour! From 14 year old girl's perspective.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

This tour was incredible. My tour guide was GREAT, Victor. It started by going into a little theather that shows a lot of movies that were filmed there, and then you go outside and get into your tour bus. THere was 12 people on my tour. He asked all of us what are favorite show was, and everybody said they didn't have a favorite, they didnt care what we saw. I said that I LOVED Pretty Little Liars. It's true, I worship it. There was another girl who loved Friends. We drove out of the building and into a little "city" filled with fake bricks, walls, buildings. WE got to get out of the cart and touch the buildings, and learn what they use for snow, rain, and how they block out the sun when filming. The guide also pointed out where some scenes from movies and shows we liked were filmed. Next we got back into the cart, and unfortunatlly we weren't able to go into another "town" because they were filming Sebergatory. We drove for a little while and then we went to the place where they build the scenes. We next went to the building were they recrreated the Central Perk from Friends. We got to sit on the couch that they actually used! Then he asked which stage we wanted to go into, and I said Pretty Little Liars! We got to go into the girl's bedrooms, and the coffee shop, classrooms, cafeteria, school hallway! It was INCREDIBLE! Pretty Little Liars is one of my all time favorite shows, so its SO COOL to be actually in there. Then we left and drove by Ellen's office, and where they film Ellen. Then we went to a museum on location that had LOTS of costumes, like from PLL, the hangover, Big bang, batman, etc. They also had A HUGE Harry Potter collection. We then went to a building with TONS of cars from the movies. They had Harry Potter cars, Bat man cars, Charlie and the Chocolate factory cars, ect. We saw more places where they filmed, and then were back to the building we started. This was one of the highlights of my trips, and it was SO cool. SO COOL. Seeing the set of your favorite show is amazing. One thing of advice, is to SPEAK UP. We wouldnt have gone to my favorite show if I hadn't said anything. So if you have a show you like, SAY it. and also ask questions! SUCH a amazing experience and I TOTALLY recommend it for all ages!!

“Warner Brothers Studio Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

We had a 9:45 tour but got there early so they put us on the 930 one. We had Bob D. as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He would get out and reinact parts of movies. We sat in the audience of the Two Broke Girls set which wasn't being filmed at the time. Wanted to see Big Bang Set or Ellen's but was not to be. I understand sometimes you do get to see those- depends on day/time etc.We were there many years ago and some outside ste ups haven't changed- ER, Gilmore Girls etc. Fun tour but expected to see more up to date sets.Saw Conan O'Brien and Simon Baker and the Friends set. which was fun.Studio store was very disappointing. Very little on display.Best of luck to Bob. Very talented guy.

“Wow - worth the time!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

I have to admit being pleasantly stunned by the VIP tour. The studio has it down to a science -- plenty of separate tours going on, but never felt trapped in "tourist" mode. Stops are well planned and really show off how a studio system works. Back lot streets amazing, and being able to stand where someone famous walked was pretty cool. Live sets were unexpectedly interesting in terms of detail, camera techniques, flexibility of purpose. The kids really enjoyed the Friends set. Props warehouse stunning -- loved getting that close to Sam's piano (Casablanca) and a real Maltese Falcon. Harry Potter exhibits in the museum totally unexpected and appreciated. Other sharper-eyed members of our group saw some of the actors from Big Bang Theory, and we passed the gate the players in Blazing Saddles used exiting the lot. Cool, cool, cool, and well worth the fee and the time. Highly recommended!
