“Fresh Mexican Restaurant - always something new”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

This place is a find! We bring friends and family there and have never been disappointed with the food. Everything they offer is fresh, local, whole ingredients, never greasy. The combinations of flavors they put together are incredible. Their chili rellenos, enchiladas suisas, tamales are all incredible... and if you get there before 11 am the chiliquiles is to die for! Real comfort food. Yes, they are expensive AND it is worth it. The service is great and the atmosphere is casual. Eat in or take out you won't go wrong with anything they serve.

“Buy whatever they have that day. Period.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2013

O.M.G. We got our food to go from their cooler and enjoyed it all the next day. Best enchiladas, both swiss chard and enchilada suizas. Great refried beans, and I don't care a whole lot for refried beans. Delicious salsa. Wonderful, chunky guacamole. Chips are a little thicker than we're used to, but they are delicious nonetheless. Fresh tortillas are also very very good. Go find this small place and enjoy everything. Such a deal.

“Handmade tortillas!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

The freshly made tortillas make this place worth it! The chips are also made with the tortillas that they make fresh every day! They are phenomenal! We had guacamole, which I am fairly particular about, and it was great! Fresh and creamy, pure delicious guacamole!
I had the fish tacos which were piled high with crispy delicious fish, fresh cabbage, and a delicious sauce. My husband's ceviche was full of fresh fish, tomatoes, peppers and more! When back in the area we will definitely return! Friendly service, clean facilities, quaint outdoor patio, and simply delicious, fresh food!

“Pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

This place has a great reputation, but the price is too high for what it is. But it is reliably good Mexican food.

“The real deal (Mexican food) in Sonoma”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

Located in Sonoma, CA – off a main street, this unimpressive looking place serves excellent authentic Mexican food. It’s very basic and casual inside, almost like your inside somebody’s kitchen, but the food more than makes up for it. Wait, it was an open windowed kitchen and from the handmade tortilla press to the others stirring stuff cooking in pots how could you pass this by. It was raining the day we heading over & I read that they didn’t have many tables so we originally hesitated going there. I’m glad we did it as they ended up having about 6 tables inside plus several tables outside with umbrellas outside (which can work if it’s not raining).

This place is the real deal and we had stuff we don’t normally get. We had one order of the Pork Tamales and one order of the Vegetable Tamale which had squash & corn. Both were so fresh and delicious and each came with a side of pickled cabbage relish which was unique and very good. If you are in the area, this is a MUST try type of place. Also try their hot sauce.
