“New owner, new restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2012

It's not the same Sandpiper that was located in the flatlands near the boat harbor a few years ago. The former Sandpiper was casual, family, no fuss. The new Sandpiper is dimmed lights, view from the hilltop and an upgraded menu. We all ordered something different; fish and chips, salmon, cioppino, pasta, salads. All was good, pricing reasonable, quantity acceptable. Chowder very good. Salad consisted of greens and a few goodies, nothing to brag about. Service was prompt and polite. Business was busy the evening we dined, and my guess is that most of the diners were weekenders, having a meal out, rather than locals.

“Bad Fish & Chips”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2012

I don't like to write a bad review; however, the fish and chips were so bad I felt compelled to alarm others. I've had bad fish and chips before but never at the coast. My advise for this restaurant is DON'T BOTHER, even if it is the only restaurant open.

“Lovely breakfast!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2011

We enjoyed an excellent breakfast at the Sandpiper. I had the Veggie Benedict and my husband had the full stack of pancakes. They were both delicious, as was the coffee. One of the best breakfasts we've had! Our only gripe was that our young son's apple juice cost $3 which seemed a bit expensive...
