Not too many dining options in Bodega Bay, but we decided to try Lucas Wharf because they were the only ones in town that had the most cars in the parking lot. Not a good way to judge a restaurant but it looked like it was our only option. As we walked in we were not immediately acknowledged and had to ask for a table of five. The "hostess" walked away without saying much and appeared as if she was getting a table ready for us. I finally asked if it was ready to go and they seated us. The menu looked good and had a nice variety. The waiter appeared and took our drink order. Then served us some sourdough bread. The bread was just ok, cold. Would have been 100% better if it was warmed. We ordered our drinks and meals. The server was really good and attentive. Our party ordered, clam chowder, Halibut (special of the day ), Salmon, Fried Fish, Shrimp Salad Sandwich. The soup arrived Hot, but the flavor as they discribed it was "interesting" Very heavy in the Rosemary after taste, making it not very good in comparison to what we have had this week. The Salmon was very good and cooked just right, however the Halibut was rated as overdone to mushy in spots. The rest of our group enjoyed the fried fish and Shrimp Salad Sandwhich. Overall it was fine but nothing that any of us would return too. We felt that for the value of what we were charged for an entree it was not worth it. $24 for the Salmon and Halibut. All it came with was steamed veggies, rice or french fries. No other options unless you wanted to spend more.
