“Great view, nice decor, very good food and super service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2013

Four of us have a lovely lunch at the Tides, while we enjoyed the beautiful scenario where the film The Birds was filmed.
We had lovely fresh oysters, fish tacos (with tasty snapper), sauteed scallops and prawns and a crab sandwich.
The sparkling wine was excellent and the bloody mary was perfect.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Our waiter Javier was very good, taking care of our requests without bothering us.
Enjoy the view, service and food!

“Great Food, Good Views, A Bit Pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013

We have been stopping here for years and have always enjoyed our meals. We camp in the area often, and this restaurant is a great break from camping. It can get crowded at lunchtime on the weekends, so we usually come in a bit later so we can get a good table with a direct view over the bay. One of us almost always gets a chowder bowl, and while not the best it is certainly good. Without question our favorite is the lemon sorbet, which is served inside a giant frozen Meyer's lemon. Plan on between $15 and $20 per person for lunch. We will come back the next time when we are in the area. Also, there is a gift shop and a deli in the same area inside the building.

“BUSY PLACE BUT NOT ATTENTIVE STAFF”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013 via mobile

1. My friend from Florida has never been to Bodega Bay so we decided I gave him a tour of his place.

2. Restaurant seemed to be stand out so he decided to try it out.

3. Restaurant was getting busy when we got there...around half past 1 but we were seated at once. Turned down our request for a window seat which was uncleared of plates. But when someone came in after us, they got that seat and were even served first. Bad!!!

4, We Ordered Tuna Melt and Calmarai and Chips. Both tasted bland.

5. Prices are a bit stiff to think that the food tastes bland and not even a bit "surprising".

6. Table bread is good and freshly made which was the only relief.

7. Please improve service as this seems to be a popular choice, either because the place looks decent from the outside and or because of the parking space.

“Best smoked salmon at the fish market”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

We didn't eat at the restaurant, but it looked nice with a good view and some seating right outside, and a more caual snack bar too. Inside the building is a gift shop on one side of the hall and a deli and fish market on the other side. We got some of the best smoked salmon we've ever had. They had several other types of smoked fish I'd like to try, and also fresh fish and great sourdough bread.

“Your usual oceanside restaurant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

We walked in based on its location. It is a typical California oceanside restaurant. The food was not disappointing, but quite typical (which wasn't what we were looking for at that moment.)
