“My favorite meal in the world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

I admit that I am probably alone in this, but I've been coming to the Tides for almost 30 years and always have their hot crab sandwich. Fresh crab layered on top of crusty, hot sour dough bred, covered with Swiss cheese...oh my. It is a piece of heaven. The setting is gorgeous, right on the Bay. It's always fun trying to locate seals that frolic in it. Their menu is extensive and the seafood always fresh caught. Enjoy!

“Disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

The Tides has become just a big tourist trap. Big isn't better. Chowder pasty. Ordered a berry pie at the time I ordered entree. Never came, finally after we got our check, I asked for the pie to go and left.

“Keep Driving!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

Ate here many years ago when it was outstanding. NOT the same place. Poor food, Poor service, they don't seem to give-a-rip...It's weird. It's "Denny's-by-the-Sea" (my apologies to Denny's which is actually 2 stars better).

“Bad bar service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

Stopped in to watch 49ers game. It took at least 5-10 minutes before the bartender even acknowledge our existence, even though she was working right in front of us. Seemed very disorganized even though it didn't seem that busy. Finally were able to order drinks and food. It took five minutes to get condiments after my burger and fries arrived. Nothing special about the food here. Too bad. I guess they feel like they don't need quality or service because of there great location. A bit of a tourist trap.
