“Completely Enjoyable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I come here every year for our anniversary. The staff here is very friendly and the free continental breakfast is great! We bring our dog with us as this is a dog friendly hotel. We absolutely love it here. Some rooms have fireplaces, some have spa tubs, some have both.
If I could change one thing it would be upgrading the T.V.s in the rooms to flat screens.
This place is a very relaxing getaway.

The rooms were clean and very roomy with a limited view to the bay, but that was all right because we didn't spend much time in the room. There were a few things missing that would have been nice amenities, like a clock and somewhere to hang wet towels. The TV is the old fashioned type and there was a VHS player as well, but cable did not include any premium channels for watching movies in the evenings. The room had a small patio that was nice to sit and watch the para-skiers and be protected from the winds, but the wall was too low to trust the dogs without leashes. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and the breakfast offered was really decent, especially the waffle making apparatus. Coffee in the room and the breakfast area was really poor, so plan accordingly if your morning coffee is important to you.

Bodega Coast Inn & Suites is walking distance from Doran Beach & several of Bodega Bay's waterfront restaurants. We stayed in a king size room that overlooked the spa, Doran Beach & Bodega Bay. The hotel is dog friendly, however it would be nice if the hotel designated a special area for dogs to do their business. Also, the hotel would probably increase their number of guests by planting more Cypress Trees throughout the North part of the property, especially around the parking lot & main entrance. The front office could use some large potted plants in front, to make the check-in area more apparent. The rooms could do with an upgrade, such as slip covers on the sofa's & chairs, white paint for the walls & furniture. A clean beach look would really compliment the rooms & would be more cost effective for the hotel. Other than that, we had a positive experience and really enjoyed Bodega Bay.

Room Tip: Request a room closer to the South of the property near the Cypress tress & outdoor spa. Also, r...

the room with the balcony/ bay view was difficult- didn't know we had stairs to climb(knees issue).. but, the most disappointing part was the (outdoor hot tub) jacuzzi - .. really looked forward to that luxury (down for servicing)
Our previous visit, was wonderful -private hot tub(non available) and first floor.. now, we know better ... we'll def. give another try

The Inn is run by some very nice people that are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are large and well furnished and the views from the balconies are very nice. The facilities do need a liitle more maintenance and some updates but still very comfortable. It is within walking distance of Doran Beach and some nice birding areas. Definately good for a weekend get away.

Room Tip: There are multiple levels so make sure you get one to your liking to use or avoid stairs. The room cl...

The appearance of the hotel is pleasing, but the rooms are getting tired, with functional issues will balcony doors. Also hot tub advertised out of service. Towels have seen better days, but all is clean. Reception at check in was good. And value for price is disappointing. All rooms are facing bay and have sun set exposure. Would try another hotel in vicinity if to come here again. Visit the Visitors information booth if you are visiting for first time. Very informative about location and current events

Room Tip: Check rooms before committing. No AC

4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

I visited in april 2013, and found the hotel to be clean, and the staff friendly. The area is beautiful, a short drive up the coast gave access to multiple beaches and the Armstrong Woods red wood forest. Lots of quaint small towns and very close to the wine growing area's as well. I would go back, given the opportunity.

Room Tip: All the rooms over look the bay, I was on the top floor, and it was great being able to see over the...
