“Wonderful hikes, great views, whales”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

We spent a lovely day at Bodega Head. Saw 5 whales migrating north, including a mom and calf. Hiked all over the place for lots of spectacular views. Hike north towards Overlook through meadows, hardly anyone was there and it was lovely - views of the coast as well as of Bodega Bay. Hike down to beach below the viewing area - pretty easy and fun place to hang out for a bit. The hikes south are busier but you do get stunning views of the coast as well as Bodega Bay.

“Gorgeous ocean views!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

Although it can be quite windy, the spectacular views from Bodega Head make it a popular place to take visitors, or to just hang out and watch the ocean. During whale migration, they have whale spotters to help people catch a glimpse of the whales.

“Hike and view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

This was great little find! We just happened to drive over to Bodega Bay from Santa Rosa. It was an easy drive. There is a 2 mile hike that is not hard to do and you will be rewarded with the most beautiful views. There is a great litle restaurant (actually a bait and tackle shop that serves food) we stopped and had the best clam chowder and fresh crab sandwich. It was very reasonable. Don't miss this stop.

“"I must go down to the seas again"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

The rugged cliffs at Bodega Head are spectacular. We would have walked more, but it was sooo windy and cold, nevertheless awesome! We did buy fresh crab out of the "crab tub" at the harbor and brought it to a friend's house for dinner...mmm good. Enjoyed the beautiful rolling hills and farmlands on the way to Bodega Head and then suddenly finding ourselves by the cliffs and the Pacific. Beautiful, breathtaking, what else could you ask for?

“Beautiful views, nice walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

You drive right up to the cliffs and take stroll for about 1/2 mile along the cliffs and then come back. The wind was a little breezy and cool when we went. We didn't see any whales, but we did see flotillas of birds out about a mile. About 100 of them would float along out there, they would all disappear, then they would all reappear. They have vault toilets.
