The good: room clean, decent shower pressure, reasonable price

The bad: I didn't realize this was a motel (drive up to the door) versus a hotel, which I prefer for safety reasons (my fault I should have researched this), the room smelled very musty, the outdoor light fixture outside our room was burned out making corner we had to walk back into seem unsafe (we arrived very late in the evening), there was no deadbolt on the adjoining door, there was no iron provided, the wi-fi access was cumbersome (each device has to have separate log-on and password and could only be used once), and lastly, the breakfast. Just. No. I poured my son cereal and when adding the milk AN ANT poured into his bowl. Thank goodness I caught it with my eye, otherwise I could have easily missed it (he had served himself raisin bran). The orange juice also tasted very watered down? Like they were trying to stretch it out? There were no hot choices at all and really it just didn't come anywhere near qualifying as an acceptable breakfast. I can't understand why they even bother?

We typically stay at the Comfort Inn in Blythe when passing through and as a family we all agreed that we will not stray from that spot again and certainly if we did, it would not be at the Days Inn. The Comfort Inn is cleaner, safer looking (it is a hotel), the beds are much more comfortable and the breakfast is just awesome (and ANT/bug free). There really is just no comparison.

In summation. It is adequate if you just want to sleep, but don't rely on the breakfast offerings for a meal and if you are a family or a single woman traveling alone, look for one of the other hotel options in town.

We were very happy with the price and cleanliness, coffee in the room and breakfast were great perks. The TV from the next room 121 (we were in 120) was loud in our room at 4:30 a.m. The noise of people packing up and leaving early was loud but we were aware of how busy it would be that weekend. We would definitely come back next year.
