Even know the sign out front needed work, we stayed here two weeks ago while on a road-trip to Arizona to visit family on a friend's recommendation. We arrived around 1:30 in the morning without a reservation. Upon arrival we had to ring the front office door bell about three times to awaken the night manager (who I think is the owner). Including taxes and everything, it ran about $44 a night for two people in two separate beds (which were comfortable)
We found the room to be clean, the motel to be quiet, and all appliances to be in working order (including the television set which sported satellite service although we didn't watch too much TV due to being tired). The shower was roomy and had plenty of hot waster and the bathroom even had a hair dryer!
My only (minor) complaint was that there was no soap to be had anywhere in the room! Luckily, we had our own so disaster was averted. At checkout (which was at 10 a.m.) I did tell the same manager who seemed surprised and apologized. With that said, I would stay at this motel again and would recommend it soap or no soap. :-)
Oh, and something quaint: This particular motel still uses actual metal room keys with the correct room number emblazoned upon them instead of the card keys so prevalent elsewhere in today's world. So please exercise appropriate common sense.
