“Nice Surprise on a long road”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2011

If I have a choice I normally do not stay at Best Western. The reviews from Tripadvisor were right and I agree that this is a nice hotel.

Wonderful place to stay in Bishop. The grounds around the creek are immaculate and invite inspection. Check-in was quick and efficient -- and if you're around the front desk in the afternoon you can smell the cookies baking. Kitchenettes are a great way to save a little money on food, and they add to the size of the room, which is pretty large to begin with. Beds are comfortable. The breakfast room can get a little tight when the place is full, but the free breakfast is a welcome touch. Housekeeping staff really does a great job, and it shows. Yes, the high end in price in Bishop, but you get a lot for your money.

Room Tip: Can park right in front of your room on the ground floor if you're lucky enough to get one with...

FOOD! - Breakfast includes eggs, sausage patties, biscuits/gravy, oatmeal, fresh fruit, cereals, coffee, juice, danish, etc...the women working the breakfast are are friendly and constantly working hard. During the afternoon there is coffee and tea and lemonade available. All very yummy and we had our fill. In the evening they have cookies available which were SO good. Probably took more than we should have but they were seriously irresistible. One night we ate so many we skipped dinner. :P

SERVICE! - Every service member I interacted with was extremely friendly. We are considering moving to this area and one particular staff was over the top helpful in informing me about the area. We had some special requests and they were all handled graciously.

Room Tip: Pick a top floor creekside room. My husband initially booked a creekside bottom floor room but we co...

Outstanding all the way around. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds and pillows. Can't beat the free breakfast. I think they lost $$$ on us there. Beautiful grounds and clean public areas. All the staff were friendly and made a point of greeting us at every opportunity. Nice pool and jacuzzi too. Not plush , but very very good. Will be back. Great workers and helpers in the breakfast area.

Room Tip: ask for Creekside rooms. nice view

Bishop was a stop over on our way home from up north. We had stayed in Bishop one other time and had wished we could have stayed here then but the price was too high for our family. This time is was just the 2 of us. We paid the higher price and our stay was just "Lovey". It's decorated nice, the hotel and rooms are clean and the breakfast was good. The grounds are nice too. There are other hotels in the area and with some research you may fine one that is less expensive but it may not be as nice.

Room Tip: We stayed on the Mountain view side which looked into the parking lot but on the second floor it had...

We stayed at the Creekside Inn on our way from Yosemite to Death Valley. What a pleasant surprise! We booked the Inn from the web with no recommendations. It is an excellent hotel. having just come from an unclean Lodge at the Falls in Yosemite , it was a pleasure to find this spotless hotel. The check in welcome was excellent and the creekside room fisrt class.
The complimentary breakfast was all one could wish for to start a day.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone whether passing through as wwe were or for a longer stay.
Keep it up.

Room Tip: choose a creekside room

I booked this hotel without knowing anything about Bishop or where to stay and was very pleased I did. The staff were professional and helpful and the room big and nicely decorated. We had a mountain room as opposed to a creekside room, which over looked the car park but was whisper quiet. Everything was lovely and clean and the balcony an added bonus. I was surprised to find a lovely pool and spa next to the creek, which we enjoyed. The room was very quiet, and the beds comfortable. We requested a cot for our baby and it was brought up to the room within 5 mins, so how's that for service. The complimentary continental breakfast was very nice and there was lots of choice. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever in Bishop.

Room Tip: Although we were happy with a mountain view room I'd probably go for a creekside room next time...
