“Ramada Bishop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

The room and cleanliness were fine, but we were woken up each morning by the noise of the cleaners walking around the complex from 7am onwards. They also knocked on the door before 9am. We did not have the "privacy" sign on the door, but still would not have expected to be woken by them so early, particularly as we were leaving that day anyway and hadn't yet checked out.

Hotel within reach of Mammoth Lakes which was worth a visit. Also a great restaurant within walking distance.

We have stayed here before and had a great night's sleep. However, this trip we were placed in room 101... next to the pool pump and it's noisy! Since we had no need for the heater or A/C, it was turned off, and the noise from the pool pump was so bad we couldn't sleep. My husband went to the front desk at 11pm (as the male employee wasn't answering the phone, he was on a cigarette break outside) to complain and see if there was another room. When we checked in, we were offered a choice of upstairs or downstairs and given room 101. WHY did they offer that room in the first place! By this time, the hotel was full and we were stuck. The employee did turn off the pool pump and told us that the maintenance guy would be turning it on at 6am.... he turned it on at 5am!. Thank goodness our stay was only for one night! When ask 'how was your stay' as we were checking out, we informed them what had happened. Their response, guests that stay in the summer or winter don't hear that noise as it's covered by the A/C-heater! Avoid room 101 at all costs!
Breakfast consists of oatmeal, cold cereal, little muffins, bagels, store-bought waffles, juice, coffee, hot chocolate, apples, and yogurt.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms in the single story building. The lines for the pool are underneath and are noisy! Tou...

Have always enjoyed my stay at the Ramada. Annette is a great GM and her staff follows hew example.Amber, Darby and Tracie have all been great. The maids do a very fine job. Rooms are always clean and smell good. I'm a smoker and even we enjoy a clean smell.

Thanks to all the girls at the Ramada Bishop.

We stayed there one night after our visit to Yosemite and before heading to Death Valley. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.

Just a night stop in Bishop and the Ramada was fine. Our room wasn't ready on arrival but we seemed to have got a slightly larger one on the 2nd floor at the back (less noise from traffic). Yes it had been well used, yes the air conditioner was noisy but all worked for us and the breakfast was surprisingly good although seating in the lobby is somewhat "limited". My only gripe was the wifi wasn't really working they were sharing another motels while it was being repaired. A two star price for a three star stay.

Room Tip: 2nd floor back
