“Dinner in Bishop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

Walkin the Main Street we became aware the busiest of the resturants was this Chinese Restaurant, by some margin. We entered to find a welcoming atmosphere, seated at a table the service came quickly but not hurried. Food tasty and hot.

“A Nice Change of Pace”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2012

Bishop is full of American-style restaurants featuring steaks, ribs, burgers and the like, but sometimes you just want a change of pace. The Imperial Gourmet provides just that. This isn't innovative or fusion, just old-fashioned Chinese done quite well. The room is pleasant enough, with windows on three sides to view the passing parade on Highway 395. Service was quite friendly and quick, even on a Friday night (9-7-12) when the place filled up. We avoided anything fried, simply out of preference. Our Mooshu Pork had four large enchilada-sized portions with a tasty plum sauce, more than enough for the two of us. Gluttons, we also had an order of garlicky (yum) beef chow mein, noodles nicely stir-fried but not stiff, as well as a plate of vegetables with chicken. Yeah, we were stuffed and very happy. Not gourmet, but definitely good value.

“Excellent Staff! Very Friendly and Delicious :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

The service at this restaurant is great. I live here in Bishop and this is one of my favorites. The food is hot and unlike another review it is very tasty. My favorites are the Wonton soup, Fried Shrimp, Almond Chicken and the Lucky Family. If you go from 11-2pm they serve a lunch menu that gives you a chose of one entre, egg flower soup (I would suggest upgrading to the wonton soup) fried rice and an egg roll for $8.50. Also if you go on Sunday from 11am-1:30ish they have an all you can eat Champaign Brunch for about $12 per person. I would say the best thing about this place are the workers. You'll always receive a happy greeting at the door and excellent service. When you come back time and time again they will remember you.

“Nice but not a San Francisco Treat”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

Delicious Soup, nice flavor. Other dishes good, but not excellent when compared to some restaurants in San Francisco Bay area. Portions somewhat smaller than many similar restaurants while prices a little higher. Worth a visit on your wilderness journey. Service is excellent, staff very friendly.
