This is a fabulous place to stay at for a couple of nights for a get away to renew love and totally escape the daily grind. For us this was an anniversary celebration and it was perfect. The rooms or rather suites are so full of personality. Our suite had many Indian artifacts, Indian art, just comfy, homey things everywhere. There was a large and very pretty flower arrangement refreshed each day. My wife loved the decor . And the 2-person jacuzzi wasn't bad either.
Cathy is a fantastic hostess as well as being the owner. She did so much for us. She called a restaurant for dinner reservations and got us lined up with a table she suggested and it worked out perfectly as they were expecting us. She knows the restaurants and the people so we feel like we are regulars. Each afternoon there are freshly baked chocolate oatmeal cookies. I'm not usually an oatmeal cookie person, but these were delicious. One evening we watched two movies and sipped a bottle of champagne. Cathy asked if we would like a couple champagne glasses which made it nice.. She has a very good selection of movies too and we saw a couple that were so good and we did't even know they existed. So it was an evening of popcorn, movies, champagne, a nice fire, and "thou."
There is a national forest beginning less than a quarter mile away and we went for a nice walk into it. Tall pine trees, western Joshuas, huge rock outcroppings that were all very pretty against a blue sky. Photo ops everywhere. There is a National Forest Service interpretive center a couple miles away from which there are many very nice hikes, including access to the Pacific Crest Trail. We went on a very pretty hike there too.
Breakfast was very good each morning. We got to converse with fellow travelers and that was a nice part of our stay. All very nice people.
