Returned to the Beverly Hilton in '07 after a fantastic stay in '06. Four nights in a spacious Jr Suite with wife and one child was great. Parents got a king bed while junior got the comfortable sofa bed. Both visits to the hotel were fantastic and even improved by way of a excellent new restaurant at the pool level and the spa. The hotel's breakfast spread was fantastic. Have drinks in the lobby bar and watch Hollywood's finest entering the International Ballroom for events. The rooms are very tasteful and all amenities are what one would expect at a hotel of this caliber. Ask for a high floor, the views are great and the elevators are fast. Sure some things like parking are a bit high but it's LA; it's expensive everywhere. I recommend this hotel hands down. we got all that we paid for. See beverlyhilton.com; it's an accurate portrayal of what you can expect when you get there! Not only is the property convenient to Beverly Hills and great restaurants nearby, it's central to most points west of downtown. One housekeeping snafu was quickly remedied and followed up with a phone call apology. Nice touch.

  • Liked — rooms, amenities, the property overall
  • Disliked — traffic in the immediate area - Wilshire & Santa Monica are car2car all day - welcome to LA!

my husband and I stayed here for 3 nites and the service was amazing...we had a few "natural disasters" but it was not the fault of the hotel...we had a fire alarm one evening, and a 4.2 earthquake another evening.

when we first checked in, the room was not as ready as it should have been..there was still a roll away bed there from previous guests. the housekeeping staff were on it in a minute and the director sent us strawberries dipped in chocolate and gave us a complimentary huge breakfast the next day. the pool area is beautiful w/ complimentary spring water delivered to your chaise lounge.

the concierge staff was so helpful, the valet charming, the wait staff impeccable, the bed linens were divine. totally Beverly Hills!

On a tour of California from Scotland, we stayed at hotel in July 2007 - a family of 4 with 2 boys aged 14 and 10. I would describe hotel as an expensive "city hotel" - there are many business people at the hotel with lunches, photo shoots etc. Saw a few stars. Based on previous reviews, we had booked into the Tower but the room was too small for 3 adults and one child. We complained and thanks to the Manager we moved to a bigger room which was more suitable for 4 people. The reception staff/concierge were very helpful and secured a last minute reservation booking at a great restaurant. The hotel arranged a tour of the "Stars Houses" with a mad, fun driver - it was ok but no one can know if what you are being told is accurate! Breakfast is expensive but the location is good to walk to Beverley Hills/Rodeo Drive. Try out the Cheescake Factory for dinner. The mall/cinema are nearby too. Hotel is only 15 minute drive to Santa Monica Beach.

We stayed at the Beverly Hilton August 17 and 18. As a Hilton Diamond, I booked a two-night stay using Hilton Honors points. We received an upgrade to a junior suite - very lovely.

Thirty minutes after checking in, Merv Griffin's wake was taking place in the hotel. My wife and daughter hung out and watched the parade of celebraties stroll in through the lobby. Meanwhile, I was downstairs at the beautiful pool with my son and other daughter.

We received breakfast coupons for the cold buffett which was fine for us. The robes in the room were probably the nicest robes I have ever worn.

Love the flat screen tv's in the room. Since we were taking a red-eye the last day called for a late check out and they extended it from noon to 2:00. We then left and went to the Getty Center and killed some time at Venice Beach.

This is a lovely hotel, from the point of view of the lobby and the location. However, we stayed in a junior suite and it was small. The bathroom in particular was tiny, not what I expected at all for the price of this hotel.
It was clean, and generally a nice 4 star - certainly not the 5 star standard it claims! Indeed, I found the check in staff useless - they left us waiting for 2 1/2 hours to check in after telling us we'd only have to wait 30-45mins. They were rude, and arrogant. And one of the female concierge's was incompetent - and that's being generous.
There must be better hotels than this in LA for this price!
