We (myself,my wife and two teenage boys) stayed at the Beverley Hilton as part of a 3 week trip to California last summer. We initially booked a Cabana room as this was guaranteed to sleep 4 but were upgraded to a junior suite due to block bookings by the major TV networks. Our room was great. Views down Wilshire Boulevard and plasma TVs in the main room and bathroom. The hotel itself had a good lobby atmosphere despite all the rumours about everyone in LA being in bed by 9pm!The cocktails were well made and the people watching was very interesting - mainly due to the number of TV functions going on at the time of our stay.
Unexpected treats - the pool! Bigger than we expected and beautiful in the mornings. The location - easy walk to Rodeo Drive & Wilshire (but a $30 cab fare to Hollywood/Universal etc). Disappointments - Trader Vic's. We enjoyed the look of the restaurant and atmosphere but the food was ordinary and the service bordering on rude (very unusual for Californisa where service is normally very friendly).
Stay there again? Definately - but we'd hire a car next time (there's a Budget depot nearby).

Booked this hotel through Priceline for $100 a night. Needed a place to stay while passing by the Beverly Hills area. The hotel was very nice. It had an ambience like stars were around. As a matter of a fact, Shaquille O'Neil was staying in the Penthouse Suites. The staff said we had just missed him walking through the lobby. He would be a hard person NOT to notice. Got a picture of his vehicle out front. Ate dinner at Trader Vic's Restaurant. The entrance area to the restaurant was under construction, however, they transferred you via golf cart. A staff member showed me the hall where the Golden Globes are held. Myself and my son went to the taping of the Tonight Show in the afternoon while my wife and daughter walked to Rodeo Drive to do some shopping. The conceirge was great and helped me with directions. The Playboy Mansion is right around the corner. Great location to sight see starts homes, Sunset Strip, etc. We headed for Las Vegas the next day.

Lovely modern, decent sized room and shower room. Asked if we could have a bath but only rooms available were without balcony so we stayed with huge shower. Complimentary drinks and breakfast pastries in International Room enough to get you on your way in the morning. Excellent location, walking distance from Rodeo Drive and Westfield shops, central for driving. Would return.

Very nice! I'm only a 14 year old Indiana girl and me and my father went to this hotel in May. I've been to some nice hotels but the Beverly Hilton beat every other hotel by a long shot! I know all of you women and men who are past 20 probably don't care what a 14 year old has to say, but this is the hotel that celebrities stay at. I was extremly pleased with the service and everything! The concierge were very helpful even at 11 at night and the rooms were very spacious and I can't help but say their televisions are HUGE! 40 in tv. The bathroom was very nice too- spacious, had a door for the toilet AND the shower plus they had a tv in the bathroom too. Our view from the hotel was beautiful. You could see some vally. Not sure still but it was very nice to wake up in the morning, look out your window, and see beautiful hills the farthest you could possibly see. The hotel staff were the nicest people around. They knew what they were talking about and I had a nice friendly chat with one of the staff when we first came in. The area was very good. Rodeo Drive was only minutes away walking there and if you wanted to take a tour on your own of the celebrities' houses, you only had to go down maybe two roads and you would start seeing the gorgeous houses. To go to Mann's Chinese Theater, it only took 10 minutes the most with traffic. Sunset Blvd and Hollywood Blvd were breathtaking up until there started to become more of the "Fredrick's of Hollywood" type of stuff and not for little kids on Hollywood Blvd. Other than that, I must say this was a VERY good hotel and I would recommend it to anyone. It's worth the splurge.

Just recently remodeled the rooms are sparkling clean and luxuriously modern. Our room offered a comfortable feather bed, plush robes, a deep tub adjacent a flat screen and sweet smelling L'Occitane soaps and lotions. It's now our favorite hotel.
