We booked with Hotel.com two rooms for three nights cost was 1477.33 including the booking fee of ten dollars. We chose valet parking 3 nights@29.00=87.00 (we called ahead to have our car waiting for us but it was never there so we always had to wait but they always had two fresh water bottles in the car waiting for us) and then a 25 dollar a night pet fee which was never mentioned anywhere. When we checked out we found out about this. They told me they would only charge for one night on the pet fee. I had not even mentioned that I had not known about the fee so do not know why they gave us a break. Easy drive to the LAX. Check in and out was very quick. We were put in rooms 6433 and 6429 of the Oasis tower . We were on # four of four floors. It had the fastest elevator of any hotel we have ever stayed at and we never had to wait. Our rooms were 105 steps away from the elevator. It was the longest hallway I have ever seen on one floor of a hotel. The hallway was super clean and fresh smelling and well appointed. Our rooms were very nice and the view was nice. The beds were very comfortable and the heating system was acceptably quiet. We had two queens in each room. The bathroom was large and the rooms had adequate space. Everything was clean. The exercise room was well equipped and everything in it was complimentary, a mini fridge stocked with cold bottled water, fresh fruit, towels, ear phones eight tread mills so no waiting, and other step like equipment and free weights etc. It was a large room, clean and comfortable. The pool was closed which was a disappointment but they had the nicest couches (real couches) and comfy chairs still out that were situated to have the sun without any wind. Several people were out here napping enjoying the beautiful weather. California is totally small dog heaven. I am glad we brought our Yorkie because she went everywhere with us. It was a distance to take her potty at the hotel but they have a walking path along Wishire that is lovely and safe. It is a mile to the Los Angeles Temple.

My wife and I recently stayed four nights at the Beverly Hilton. I have nothing but good things to say about the hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent. There seems to be a ton of staff around who are eager to please so you really never have to wait around to catch someone's attention. The check-in was smooth, they took my rental car and unloaded our bags. We were whisked up to our room on the 4th floor of the Wilshire Tower. Not huge, but good size, bright, modern and clean with a nice balcony and a wall-mounted 42 inch Plasma TV. We did not use the pool as we were busy and it was unseasonably cool. Nor did we use the hotel's shuttle service since we had a rental car. But the restaurant was terrific. We had breakfast there each day as it was included in our package. (Good thing, too as it was $29). In fact, I would say the hotel is excellent value, given that we paid $302 per night but that it included the $29 full delicious breakfast times two.
The exercise room is great. Up to date machines all with video screens and headphones and cool towers and free chilled bottled water and fruit. The valet parking is expensive at $29, but really convenient and the service at the valet stand was outstanding.
The location is very convenient, quite central. Really, this is a very nice hotel and way better value than the more expensive BH hotels. It's a 4 1/2 star hotel for half the price of the 5 star.

Last December before my familys extensive trip to NZ and FJ we stopped in L.A for one night. We arrived at around 7 and due to traffic didnt arrive at the Hilton till 8:30.
I wil start off by saying the Lobby made me feel like I was going to a VIP party. Christmas decorations filled the halls along with a grand christmas tree.
The hotel had an air of sophistication. You defiantly knew you were in Beverly Hills. Just walking pas the bar area made me feel like a complete tourist. Our room had the view of the parking lot, not too great but the room itself was amazing. The TV kept my sisters attention for hours and the bed's were cozy. The downstairs restuarant was amazing and was completly L.A. The service was excellent.

The next morning we had hot choclate and coffee room serviced to us. Amazing I must say! The breakfast buffett was insanly good! My mother and I walked down to Rodeo Drive, and scanned the scene. When arriving back to the hotel for lunch, my mom ordered room service. Once again service and quality was above average! As we left the hotel to the airport that night, they were having a Christmas party and the valet, who was very bussy parking numerous Porches and sort, found us a cab immediatly.

Our stay in The Hilton was short but sweet! My family plans to return for 2 more nights before another upcoming trip near Christmas time!

Why superb? Where do I start? I checked in around 8am (after a terrible night at The Biltmore (see review) and got a room (as requested) with excellent southern views and a huge balcony (with double glazing) over Santa Monica Blvd. The breakfast is over 30 dollars but very healthy and the hotel is 5min away from Rodeo Drive. Only complain, there is no bath, just shower that disperses the water all over and takes longer to wash. However all attractions are some 30 dollars fixed fare away (make sure you ask your driver and do not engage in further conversations with them - will simply drive you mad) and the airport 42 dollars. Do visit:
- west: Santa Monica pier and small aquarium underneath (part of goLosAngelesCard - check the site for deals to attractions), take a bike (goLAcard) to Venice beach (some 20min) and see the crazy things and gorgeous condos (check the wooden one). Walk through 3rd St promenade in Santa Monica (loved its shops and buzz - so real and European), the nearby mall with so cheap stuff and packed with Brits. Also check the Getty centre on top of a mini mountain (take their free luxurious tram) and see their FREE collections described by them as "the most ecclectic around the world", get free salty biscuits and sweet (if you like taking advantage of that). What I really liked were the great southern views and that amazing, healthy soup that makes me salivate even now.
- east: Hollywood Blvd with Kodak theatre, Gauman theatre and Guiness place (all part of goLAcard). Take the tours from Starline (again goLAcard) visiting Hollywood, Melrose, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Rodeo and learn the more interesting stories about Mae West etc - the place will slowly grow on you and you will find a reason for the dumps like Viper Room to exist. Take the metro to Universal City (only 1.25 dollars one way) and get ahead of the queues (part of goLAcard), take a train to the sets of diff movies and be mesmerised by the special effects for King Kong, The fast and the furious, The Scorpion King (even a sceptic like me got amazed), then go to the 30min shows of The Terminator, Waterworld and The Animal show (worth the effort - trust me)
- I was not impressed with the shops on Melrose or The Grove, much better choices in Santa Monica (that is the place)

Tips:
- ask the taxi drivers for fixed fares (I found this to be cheaper than renting a car if you add the fee/insurances/SatNav/hotel parking/petrol), this applied even to black stretch limos
- if interesting in attractions, check go Los Angeles card site
- be prepared to pay unshamedly high prices even for an anemic sandwich (around 10 dollars) near the Kodak theatre
- e-mail the hotel with your request, they take good care of you (free English muffins with morning tea - if you are after that)
- get a seat in the plane on the right hand side (if you want to have a great view from near the airport to the Hollywood sign), the landing runs from east to west (although our pilot said otherwise)

I found the people to be extremely polite. respectful and polite. Surely I'll be back.

I stayed here for 7 nights with my wife and son (16yrs). The hotel was fantastic, the staff were freindly and helpful. The room was large, clean and very comfortable, it had a large HD TV on the wall.
The gym was good and provided water and fruit to the users. Bottled water was expensive in the mini bar ($8, it was sold for ($4 in the hotel shop) but apparently free to gym users so use the GYM.
PARKING. This was self park or valet parking. The self-parking was $25 a day (not too bad) There was a wide selection of movies to choose from inside the room all at $15 each.
BREAKFAST. This was by way of a voucher redeemable in the lobby bar and enitiled you to a tea or coffee (not a latte or other special coffee) and a muffin (small muffin)
FOOD & DRINKS. we ate in the restuarant on our arrival which was proabaly an error, the food was good but it was the priciest meal we had away. Wine was about $14 a glass and the cocktails similar so be prepared. Teas and coffees were between $2-4 dependant upon what you had.
This hotel had local events on every day / evening in its function. These caused us no inconvenience and even provided celeb spotting opportunities (Roger Moore, paris Hilton, Sharon Stone, Dolph Lungdren)
SUMMARY not the cheapest hotel but it was great and felt like value for money, also never having been to LA before I would recommend Beverly Hills as an area to stay.
