Stayed here in 2004 Before all the major works started. My brother had his wedding reception in the ball room that overlooked the city, absolutely fantastic, if your staying at the hotel, make your way to this floor and sneak in for some fantastic picture on an evening.

We stayed in a executive suite for 2 weeks, huge bedrooms with even bigger tv's! great pool and the service in the hotel is unbeatable.

If your looking for stars dont go no further, steven spielberg and his mother stayed at this hotel who seen most mornings, as well as arnie ! - jewish fesival of some sort. - Golden globes are even staged here.

Hotel a little out the way of all the typical tourist areas but you can catch the pool car who will drop you off wherever you want for a small tip or the local bus service can get you to the beach.

I was in Los angeles june this year but stayed over in the valley near mullholland but visited the hotel to see what its like nowadays after the big clear up. Absolutly breathtaking. very big hip hotel and id love to stay again given the oppurtunity, i love it !.

The Beverly Hilton was to Hilton standards for sure. The pool was large in a little outdoor courtyard and had little villas where you could stay. We stayed before they remodelled but it was still nice. A
little pricey but worth it if you want luxury.

Always wanted to stay here. It was fabulous. From the moment we checked in, I felt like a movie star. Hotel personnel were fantastic and helpful, especially the concierge desk. Room was in the Wilshire Towers, newly renovated, balcony, king bed, flat screen T.V's, clean and bright. Food was excellent in Circa 55 restaurant, and the free Starbucks coffee and muffins were delightful. Would recommend hotel to anyone in a heart beat.

Hip hotel rooms in a good Beverly Hills location

We checked in on July 4th, booked into a standard room (convention group rate) but requested a better room with balcony view on a high floor if possible. The very friendly desk clerk gave us room 720 on the 7th floor (highest floor other than the 8th which is where the large suites are located). Very nice large balcony facing Santa Monica Blvd with a view of Century City.

Room location:
Only about half the rooms in this hotel have balconies and these are in the original Wilshire Tower building. Other rooms are in the Oasis Court and in the Cabana Wings.
If you want a balcony ask for the Wilshire Tower. Rooms in this tower may overlook the roof so ask for something as high up as possible, on the 6th or 7th floor if you want any sort of view (even in the non-balcony rooms). Keep in mind that they face busy city streets so you hear typical big city car traffic while on your balcony. We didn’t mind that as we enjoy sitting outside with our coffee or glass of wine.

Oasis Court rooms on the ground floor open onto a little courtyard with ugly green Astroturf but a nice fountain in the middle. I would guess this is a more quiet area. This wing is slated to be torn down to build a high-rise wing sometime in the future.

Cabana wing rooms are in a two-story building overlooking the pool. Ground floor rooms open directly on to the pool area. Upper floor rooms have French doors that open towards the pool but have no balcony. Many people say they like these rooms but I would be concerned about privacy and noise. Since they open directly to the pool you would need to keep your curtains closed since everyone can see in. Also the hotel hosts many parties (BIG corporate functions with several hundred people) around the pool many evenings. Several nights while we were there these parties were very loud until around midnight.

Room features:
All the rooms are a little different. We had a wonderful king room, very modern hip renovation has been completed. Flat screen TV in the bedroom and bathroom. We only had a shower (nice large walk in shower) but no tub. Toilet is private behind a frosted glass door. Other rooms we saw in the Wilshire Tower were similar but had a different bathroom configuration with bathtubs, different sink area, different bed area, but all nice. Most people said their bed was comfortable but mine was not, it felt as if a very overweight person had been sleeping in it and it dipped on one side. Great linens and pillows though.

Rooms have the usual amenities, iron, hair dryer, robes, etc. but do not have coffee makers. They also have Bose CD player. I requested a coffee maker and it was delivered promptly. However the maids do not keep coffee supplies on their carts so they will have to make a special effort to re-stock your coffee each day. Our maid for the first part of the week was wonderful and always took the trouble to handle that without us having to ask. The maid we had at the end of the week didn’t bother to do that. Overall the maid service was very good.

Hotel features:
The pool is huge and there is plenty of sun or shade depending on which you prefer. The pool loungers are very comfortable and service is excellent if you want bar drinks or complimentary water. The hotel has closed the original Trader Vic’s restaurant (it will be torn down and yet another hotel wing (a Waldorf Astoria) is scheduled to built in that area). Now there is a small version of Trader Vic’s just off the pool area. Drinks are good but pricy (twice the price for a Mai Tai as what we paid at many resorts in Hawaii). Adjacent is also another restaurant Circa 55 (the hotel was built in 1955) . They have an outdoor patio that overlooks the pool, very nice for breakfast. We only had breakfast at the hotel and thought the food was average. There is a large bar just off the lobby that can get quite crowded with convention groups at night but otherwise is nice place to relax.

This hotel holds many corporate events and Hollywood functions. They are most famous for hosting the Golden Globes. Ladies if you get a chance, check out the ladies lounge in the International ballroom. Zza Zza Gabor designed it when she was married to Conrad Hilton. Very Hollywood!

One of the best amenities of the hotel is the free car service within a five-mile radius of the hotel. By the time you tip it is a little less expensive than a cab for the distance but the town cars are much nicer than a cab and the driver we usually had was very friendly.

We thought all the hotel staff was friendly and very professional. The concierge was helpful with restaurant recommendations.

Hotel location:
Walking distance to the main shopping area of Beverly Hills, about 10 minutes to Rodeo Drive. Cross over to the Electric Fountain and walk the trail on the north side of Santa Monica for the most pleasant walk to the shops. We also liked walking in the posh Beverly Hills neighborhood just north of the hotel. Lovely homes on non-busy streets so you can enjoy the sights while getting your exercise.

We checked out some of the other hotels in the area for the price we would return to the Beverly Hilton and recommend it to anyone wanting an upscale but mid-price hotel in that area. We loved the ambience of the much smaller, more secluded Beverly Hills Hotel but it is much more expensive.

  • Liked — Modern room decor, Bose CD player, large balcony, great towncar service to Beverly Hills
  • Disliked — In-room coffee maker not standard so hard to get coffee packet refills. Only one restaurant at the hotel.

The Beverly Hilton was simply amazing. The room we stayed in was recently remodeled, with flat screen tvs in the bathroom (appx 15) and in the bedroom (giant, with HD). We had a cabana room, on the second floor, looking out to the pool. The staff, from bellhops and valet to front desk and concierge were incredibly nice, friendly, and helpful. Valets brought cold water when they picked up the car, offered directions, and of course helped with bags, and doors. Concierge was great with ideas, reservations, and insight. The housekeeping staff was great and professional. Hotel has 3 bars and 2 restaurants, with GREAT food and drinks. Received vouchers for free continental breakfast (HHonors gold vip), which for an extra $12, could be upgraded to full breakfast buffet (both include drinks). Have staffed fitness center, gift shop, and a couple of small stores. Poolside service, including towels and water. Couldn't have asked for anything more!

  • Liked — Simply put-everything. staff, food, drinks, location were all great
  • Disliked — overpriced minibar (of course), pay to use biz center, pay to use wifi in room
