As a Starwood Platinum member and a Hilton Diamond member, I know a little about hotels, and I haven't experienced worst service at any hotel.
I recommended this place to out-of-town wedding guests and all 4
of them were told "You dont have a reservation" despite having a valid Luxe reservation number. Only 1 guest was finally admitted. The front desk did no checking of the reservation numbers, they didnt call the Luxe reservation lines to validate the numbers, they didn't offer to call any other hotels. Nothing!

We ended up finding a place for my other 3 guests at the last minute, but nobody needs that kind of grief during their wedding!

We have stayed there for four days, and believe me it was horrible. The first night when we arrived at 10 tired and sleepy, when we arrive to the counter, the attendent simply told me that my double bed room was given to someone else!! my first reaction was: i book this half a month ago, what is wrong with them? but we were so tired we didnt argue about it and she said she will put us into a king size bed room... for one night. when i got up, it was NO king size bed.. it was a normal queen size... okay for three hong kong girls, but for any other three people, it will be impossible. they did not give us an extra bed.. but we thought we should deal with it tmolo, so we turned in. the next morning, we were told that we should pack our luggage and leave it in the room so they can transfer it into the double bed room...so clearly they still had us in their mind. that night, we came back to ask for our double bed room...when we opened the door, there was somebody elses suitcase lying on the floor!!!! i'm not joking, they gave us a key to someone elses. it was some impossible to believe it. i went down to the reception and told them about this totally unacceptabe thing.. and they had no manners. the staff was like :"i wasnt incharge, so stop blaming me!" after he found out he was wrong.. he started to drag the conversation to these jokes, we were so not impress... after like a whole hour trying to figure out what was happening, where our luggage was and everything.. he finally said " madame, i only have a king size bed room, i dun have any two bed room for you." and i told them " yeah, u mean a king size bed room which is so small it cant even fit three" and he said "this one is deluxe room, i am free upgrading u.. it has a balcony blah blah blah..." when we went up, of course it was DISSAPOINTMENT again!!!!! it was even smaller than the first room!! although he did add an extra bed for us, the room was so small we couldnt open our suitcase and have somewhere to walk on the same time! so in three nights we had practically changed three rooms. it is so hard tobelieve that such a big cooperation like Luxe has services like this, and its even harder to believe that you are sleeping in a hotel which cost u a fortune every night, lying right in the middle of Roedo Drive with no manners, no system and absolute rudeness!! i will never go there again.

Good Hotel For The Location

For its glam sounding location, we got a great deal on this hotel from Expedia (especially with the excellent exchange rate). The staff were always helpful and friendly, even when we turned up a day earlier than expected they found us a room for pretty much the same price as what we'd paid online. Its location was perfect if you wanted to hit all the major fashion houses (Gucci and YSL on one side, Cavelli and Prada on the other) and big department stores (Sacks/Neiman Marks), but other malls and boutiques were a short bus/cab ride away. There were quite a few lovely little restaurants nearby (the hotel restaurant seemed to be a mix of guests and non guests which is always a good sign, and was recomended by the shop assistant in YSL), and although much quieter in the evenings than a hotel up near Sunset Boulevard (and so felt very safe in the evenings), this also meant you got a quiet nights sleep. Santa Monica was about 35 mins away on the bus, but there was valet parking if you had a car. The rooms were always kept clean, room service was quick when we ordered it, and I would definately stay here again.

If you wish to pretend to be one the Beverly Hill set for a few days then this is it. A small clean hotel right in the middle of Rodeo Drive. Our room was a fair size with two double beds overlooking a sunlit courtyard.

We only stayed for one night as we were just passing through and to be honest if you are looking for a long stay in LA then this probably is not the right location. It does depend what you are looking for but you should take into account that most of this area shuts up at around 8pm except for the restaurants, so if you are only looking for snacks around that time forget it.

The hotel has its own restaurant which serves until late. It does offer room service, but beware if ordering breakfast or dinner please state that you are ordering e.g. An American Breakfast, and then order from the items listed. If you don't then they will charge each item individually at an extra cost of around $5 per person.

There is valet car parking at the rear of the hotel and you should take note of the instructions upon arrival or you will spend sometime going around the one way streets surrounding the hotel.

To summerise, a nice clean hotel in the avenue of stars.

A friend and I had a double. The room was rather small. We had a courtyard view, which was not exciting. It was very quiet, probably becausewe were off-street side. The bathroom was fantastic, good mirrors and lighting. The decor was stark. It's really convenient for shopping. If you're going solo on a Rodeo shopping binge, this is your place. The food in the restaurant was decent. Also, to valet you need to drive around to the back of the building, which is an alley. It took me a couple times around the block to figure it out. I'd stay there again, but I'd pay for one of the better rooms, with the balcony on the Rodeo side.
