Came here with my brother and her girlfriend yesterday. The decor is great - the room looks wonderful, but they had the door to the kitchen the whole time - not a good look as the lighting in there is awful.
The service was average - not particularly attentive, but the real issue was the food. I ordered the Chicken Vindaloo, which was extremely mild. So much so, that I sent it back with a request to add some spice to it. They must have tipped a whole load of chillies into it, as it came back unnecessarily nuclear. Maybe I am just spoilt for choice with great Indians in the UK, but Vindaloo is vindaloo, wherever you are - it must be hot!
With the arrival of the bill, we concluded that the place was also definitely overpriced for what you get. Considering the upmarket nature of the area, along Wilshire Blvd, the prices aren't a surprise, but they don't come with added quality, which is why it is overpriced in my opinion.
Some people call this the best Indian restaurant in LA - it isn't.
