“Great restaurant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

I was returning to Spago's from years past, so I wondered what it was going to be like. It was not as intimate as the restaurant had been before (years ago), but the food and service was fabulous with a lovely atmosphere! We had steak, lamb chops, fried eggplant, wonderful soup (ginger/carrot which was a sample) and a potatoe puree that was to die for. The wines I had were great. The only negative was that my husband's clams had sand in them, but when he mentioned it to our waiter, a manager immediately came out and thanked him for telling them early in their dinner service (we had a 5:30pm seating) so they could correct it. Very professional and comped his meal, which we had not asked for.

All in all, it's expensive, but worth it to go to a world-class restaurant every once in a while!

definitely a dressy restaraunt, food was amazing, a little expensive but worth it, service was good and I like how you can see into the kitchen, nice atmosphere would definitely go again.

“Great everything ! Again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

Visited again on business. Love this place for being different... a different menu than all others... with many items you've never heard of before. Fabulous decor and atmosphere with VIP's everywhere. Had the shrimp salad for app and the monk fish with side of beets... excellent. great bottle of sov blanc and the rocotta pie for dessert. Service is great and everone just loves smiling. Love the place and you will too!

“great food - service blip corrected”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

spectacular food - tantalizing libations - quiet and calm atmosphere - good friends - there was a big gap between service of first and second courses, but the staff made up for it when we called the problem to their attention ;-)
