we loved the mosaic. the hotel and room and setting were charming, especially at night with candles in the pool. the room was on the small side (we had kids with us) but perfectly suitable as we spent so little time in it. location was nice and quiet and safe feeling, convenient to the action on sunset and hollywood blvd. by car. the staff was helpful and pleasant. we would not hesitate to recommend the mosaic and to come back ourselves.

After 2 weeks on the road with 2 teenagers picked this hotel for the last night - the bevereley hills experience - and was not let down.
Great location - close enough to rodeo drive but in a quiet street.
Small pool - but v.nice
staff v.friendly and helpful
good size rooms in the back block and quiet/sunny - we could open the entire wall onto a terrace.
Sunday brunch took a while by the pool but i think this was abnormal given the staffs reaction.

This hotel was absolutely wonderful. The accomodations were superb--from the Frette bed linens to the Bulgari toiletries in the bathroom. I returned in June on business and booked this hotel only because the website and reviews described it as a luxury hotel with a good price. Those reviews were right and I thoroughly enjoyed my 7-day stay. The overall location is good-- you are in a short walking distance from everything in BH (although there is nothing happening on the street that it is situated), the quality of the food is great for "hotel-food." The only caveat is that the rooms are smaller than a typical hotel room but certainly comfortable enough for 2 people (and no more than 2 unless you have a suite). For anyone else who is high-maintenance like me I would certainly recommend this hotel to them!

We recently spent 10 days in southern California, and divided the trip into 3 hotels: Hilton Costa Mesa, Holiday Inn Express in BH, and Mosaic BH--all based on reviews found on this website. Am also happy to report that all reviews were right on the money. Of the 3 hotels, the Mosaic was definitely our best choice. A little higher priced than the other 2, but well worth the extra. Our plan was scrimp for 2 nights at the Holiday Inn so we could pay the extra for the Mosaic for the next 3. Room was a corner room with windows overlooking front of the hotel and street. Room was very tastefully furnished and large enough for two to feel comfortable. Bathroom was beautiful with upscale amenities. I was surprised to find no bathtub, but there was a rainhead showerhead. I'm a bath at night kind of a gal, but have to admit I didn't miss it because of the great shower. Every single employee was so gracious and friendly to us. Ate breakfast in their dining area--delicious & wonderful service there, also. I'm kind of picky when it comes to cleanliness of rooms, and had absolutely no complaints with this one. As a plus, you can't beat the location. Only a block off Wilshire and a few more to shopping areas. We would definitely recomend this hotel.

This hotel is perfect for me as I like small upscale hotels. I also travel with my dog when in California, and it's mighty hard to find a really nice hotel that allows dogs.

The hotel is very small, but gorgeous. The rooms a lovely, standard to small sized, but beautifully outfitted and complete with Bulgari bath products...NICE!

There is a small bar and restaurant, with outdoor seating/dining in cabanas by the pool. The food was not out of this world, but the prices weren't either. But when you're on the road, and sick of traveling, and you just want to go outdoors for dinner and enjoy some ambience.......this is perfect.

Free wireless access is a big plus. But a parking charge of $20/night is annoying, even though it's pretty standard for BH.

Staff very pleasant and accommodating. I'll come back.
