The staff at this restaurant in the DoubleTree hotel are all wonderful. The service staff are friendly and attentive. The menu is interesting, but the chef needs to be more attentive to timing. I was with a group of 8 on business. I had the cioppino. Instead of a hearty fish stew, this was basically steamed clams in a thin white broth. There were also some scallops, prawns and white fish, but no crab. The broth was overly salted, so that it tasted like canned stock. The seafood was all overcooked and tough. I say the food has promise, because with just a little more care, with less salt and with properly cooked seafood, this could have been tasty. The others in the group also said there food was just average, and all who had seafood said it was overcooked and tough.
I wonder if you alert the sever ahead of time to tell the chef to watch that the seafood not be overcooked, if you would have a better experience. The pleasant staff and pleasant setting would make me give this another try if I am ever back this way again.
