This is a tiny 'park' within Berkeley, easily accessible by car. The key attraction is a large rock outcropping, which one can climb (not difficult, there are steps put into the stone at places). From the top, very good view across southwest to northwest. With decent visibility it should be no problem to see San Francisco and its bridges. There is a sign explaining that rocks like this one were used by native Indians for gathering and acron mushing. Nice spot to stop on the way, probably not a destination in its own, however pleasant surprise for a neighborhood park.

How is that none of the other reviewers mention what is probably the second most common activity at Indian -- bouldering! Bring your shoes and chalk for some challenging boulder problems.

It's hardly a park, this is just a big rock in the Berkeley Hills that you can climb on top of to see the Bay view. It's great, beautiful, romantic, inspirational, I could go on and on. Go there if you get a chance.

Indian Rock Park is very accessible and lots of fun to hike/walk along. There are great spots to rest at or relax on for awhile, while taking in the beautiful views.
