This interactive science museum (at least, interactive if you are a pre-teenager) is not in the class of, say, the Exploratorium in San Francisco, but is still greatly worth a stop, and the view of the Bay from its plaza is worth the trip in itself. If you were there a few decades ago, you should know that the Hall has morphed into an educational experience for the younger set, but there is still plenty to keep the oldsters occupied. Be sure to visit the Hall's website to see what the current attractions might be, and if you bring your children, be sure to take a camera to snap a shot of them with the whale on the plaza. (But watch them if they're the type who like to crawl over walls - it's a long way down from the ones surrounding that plaza!)
