I travel a lot with my company, WGI, and I have stayed in hundreds of different hotels. I always try to find a Marriott whenever possible as they have the most reliable as to finding a great room. On my recent stay to Bakersfield I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott. This was by far the best hotel I have stayed in, including other Marriott's! From the moment I checked in, the front desk staff was outstanding in meeting my needs. My airline had lost my luggage and I was worried about what to do until they found them. Enter the wonderful staff! They had a little store there that had what I needed to get through the night and then the next morning they gave directions to the nearest mall. It was like they really enjoyed helping people. I got the opportunity to meet the General Manager and assistant General manager, Jenny and Terri, and I understood why the employees were so happy. Such wonderful people. The hotel is spotless and just beautiful. The breakfast has everything you could want and then some! I have stayed at other hotels in this city but I have not enjoyed one as much as this one! I highly recommend this gem of a hotel!

Me and three friends of mine stayed here for one night on our way from San Francisco to Las Vegas. We only needed 4 rooms to sleep in. The rooms are nice, big and clean. We got a special rate thru our company so, we only had to pay 80,- USD and I think that is ok. For my opinion is the rate the usually ask much too high for this hotel. I think the normal rate is about 180 to 200 USD. And this is MUCH too high. By the end it is just a nice and good motel nothing more. Don’t expect something special. At my room I could hear the train, which runs near by, all night long. All together if you take the regular rate they usually charge for a room, the hotel is not worth it! It was ok for our needs and the rate we paid through our company. But that’s about it.

We spent one night at this hotel with our two children and loved it! One reason we chose the hotel is it is only a mile or so from Buck Owens Crystal Palace museum. The hotel seems to be fairly new and is very clean. The desk associates were friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable, and our room gave a nice view of the pool area. We took advantage of a special promotion which included a full breakfast (which was awesome) for a room rate of $139. I would definitely stay here again.

Since our Little League team needed a large block of rooms I contacted the hotel directly. Jan, the coordinator, worked extremely hard to make sure all the families could stay together, which we did. The rooms were immaculate, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast buffet delicious. The grounds and pool were beautiful and spotless. Above all the staff was friendly and professional and went out of their way to make sure our stay was a memorable one. We will definately be back.....
