I stayed at this hotel in May 2005 and was forced to change rooms twice. The first two no smoking rooms I was given had been used by smokers and stank of smoke (one even had the fire alarm/ smoke detector removed from the room), and the third room had the latch ripped off the door. I accepted the third room, but did not feel secure due to the issue with the latch and the fact that the patio door was of dubious locking quality and opened onto a public area. I only stayed the one night before moving on.

Customer service was also poor for when I complained of there being no fire alarm in one of the rooms and of the door latch being broken I was greeted with what I can only describe of as apathy and resignation, and no attempt was made in front of me to make a note of these defects and the room numbers involved.

Unacceptable in every way: indifferent, ineffectual service; dirty, run-down lobby and hallways; grimy rooms... Stay at a Holiday Inn or a La Quinta, where you'll at least feel safe and clean - there's no need to suffer in a dump like this.

We stayed here for two nights, and will definately not be back. I'd advise anyone against staying here also. They advertised that the rooms had been remodeled and re-done. We checked in and there were no towels, no hangers in the closet, no coffee maker, the a/c was not only broken, but no air came out of it at all - it just made a loud noise, the fridge was broken, no alarm clock/radio, no iron and no phone book. We called for hangers, towels, phone book and an iron and only got the iron. After a couple hours we had to go searching for a maid's cart to get our own towels. The clerk at the desk was also very rude and not helpful in the least. The next morning we go to take a shower and to no surprise only a dribble of water comes out of it. It took about 30 minutes to get about 3 inches of water in the bathtub - seriously. We asked to change rooms later that day and the other room they gave us also had no iron, clock etc....the a/c never worked and the fridge didn't either. Oh, and I forgot to mention the party that went on the night before next door to us. Loud drunks yelling and banging on the walls all night, in their room, in the hallway, and outside by the pool (we were on the 1st foor) ALL NIGHT long; which of course, the clerk at the desk did absolutely nothing about. The most horrible stay in a hotel I've ever had.

When I spoke when the desk clerk two months before staying at the hotel he told me that the pool, spa, bar, restaraunt and water slide were open. When i get down there...done of these were open. The bowling was supposed to free for guest the entire stay...you get one free game but have to pay for shoes. We booked five rooms. The sheets were paper thin, the carpets were sagging and three of our students tripped and fell, three of our rooms had heavy water damage and some parts of the walls were actually falling down. Three of the rooms would lose power if you turned on a switch or turned the coffee maker on, onw coffee maker was plugged and boiled over, the sheets were stained, the carpet was stained. All of our rooms had a very bead cleaning solvent smell.
Three rooms did not have irons but they had the boards. None of the rca jacks on any of the tv's worked. Two tv's had bad sound quality and one you could not read anything the tv said. We had cockroaches...thats right cockroaches in our bathtub. One of the doors for one of the rooms that lead outside was really hard to shut and could almost not be shut.
They had told me that they had just finished remodeling before we came up, when we got there they told me it would be two months until the remodel was finished. When i asked one of the desk clerks if they had a list of amenities she replied with ""what are amenities." Basically I will be writing letters to every government agencie and every TravelRite Corporate office I can find. Whatever you do dont stay here...you would be better off sleeping in your car.
