“Adaquate”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

Spent one night room was clean and adaquate. Good deal for the price. Shower water rose above ankle before I could finish showering & toilet loose on base from wall. For whatever reason free porn for two hours so watch out if you are traveling with small children.

“Friendly night staff, took pets, good AAA discount, repeat visit.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012 via mobile

We needed a motel half way between Chicago and Houston. Here was a large group of them just off the Isystem and we didn't even need to go into Memphis. But we were transporting 2 cats. No problem for the Econolodge. With a AAA discount it was the cheapest around. The gal at the night desk complimented my purse and we laughed it up even after my long day on the road. Stayed at same motel on the way home even with no cats.

“Just a place to sleep”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2011

Couldn't find a good pet friendly place in Memphis, and West Memphis is very convenient

Asked to see a room, she was going to give us a key to a room we could see (but not stay in) what up with that?

Finally got the room settled, we chose one on the back building, she steered us away from the backside....something about the watermelon people? (sounds like a stephen king novel)

There were a bunch of workmen/guests drinking beer and lounging right outside our room......concerns at first, but they cleaned everything up and were gone before we got back from Beale St., and we were back before 11 pm.

The room is large (king bed) and the bathroom was clean and in decent repair.
The bed is very spongy, and I woke up with a sore neck.
The a/c drowns out any highway sounds.

Not good for a business stay: no desk, no dataports, no wifi in back buildings. I had to go to the lobby to get on the computer.

Breakfast was gas station pastries, breads, coffee with powdered creamer, and OJ.

“LOVED THE MOTEL STAFF”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2011

Stopped in out of the blue.
Talked to the manager--Mrs. Denmon and Jessie.
Both extremely nice, professional--yet very very friendly.
Room was quiet, clean, comfortable and at a very reasonable price.
Next morning, we were going to check out.
After having a good hot breakfast and talking with Shirley and Judy:
we decidd to stay another nite.
Our stay at EconoLodge in W Memphis was great dueto thehospitality of Judy, Jessie and Shirley.
Thanks,
Joe and Fran B

“Clean and comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2011

This motel is a good place for a weary traveler to stop for the night. The beds are comfortable and the rooms clean. That is very important to me. The pillows were even nice, not flat or hard. It's not fancy, but when looking for a good place to stop outside the city this is a good place to stay. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. I liked the fact that Wi-Fi was free - unlike in "fancy, upscale" hotels. And, the price was right too!
